My first time visiting the park, this ride terrified me. Hanging below the track, swinging through all those inversions, and the sheer roar of the ride put me off. However, with some gradual coaxing, I eventually rode the ride and have grown to love it more and more each time. This coaster is as intense and extreme as it sounds.
To those who say it's rough, simply keep your head forward during the ride and you won't slam into the restraints. Also, to avoid long lines, come back later in the day (afternoon, evening, or early night) and the lines won't be longer than 30-40 minutes. This ride never lets up after you initially drop - not even during the mid-course break run.
I'm warning you - it's not for the faint of heart. Watch out for the cobra roll - it can be quite extreme - and the helix at the end - you will for sure grey out on it. B&M did a fantastic job designing this, and it's aged so well over the years. The 2016 repaint has this ride feeling and looking brand new. The intensity, layout, and roar of this coaster solidify it as one of Cedar Point's premier attractions, and will immediately catch your eye during...
Read more.......this ride was rough. As a 14 yr old, I didn't enjoy this ride. First, we waited in line for about an hour and a half with fast lane plus. I have patience so whatever. The problem is the ride got shut down halfway through us being in line. 5 minutes later it was back up and running. We were at the gate and we were getting ready to hop on but they shut it down and put a new cart on track. They had to test run them too. After all that was over with, it was finally our turn to get one. Until the people who "can't wait in lines" appeared. The people who couldn't stand in line were a very energetic couple who were in their early 20s maybe 18 or 19. We had to wait for them to go and then we finally got in. By the time we got on, it had started to rain. They said it was fine to wear glasses while on it. The entire ride, my glasses kept sliding off. The rain was beating against my face and the ride beats you up! I had a headache after it. Definitely not worth waiting for. Kinda like the corkscrew. They...
Read moreMy first time to Cedar Point my friends saw how short the line was and decided that we had to ride it while the with time was still short. I was scared because my last time riding a roller coaster had been about 5 years prior. So my friends also thought it would be funny to force me into the front row. I did not find it quite amusing. Going up the first hill I was saying my prayers and going through some of my regrets in life. We reached the top and the anxiety hit me. I latched on to the shoulder guard as tight as I could and my legs were hugging the seat very tiggtly. We started spinning up and down, doing loop-de-loops and spirals. The entire ride I looked straight ahead and I don't think I had a single thought other than, "I'm going to die here," the entire ride. I got off and my legs were weak. It then hit me how fun that ride was. I loved it and highly suggest you try it if the wait time is less...
