If you are looking for a quick Chattahoochee hike, you might consider this one. This is a nice bridge to reach the island where you'll find a history marker and a boat put-in. There is also a bench on the island that would make for a peaceful place to hang out with a book. However, this is a main parking area/HQ for a river tubing/rafting company so the general area is sorta trashed. Depending on the day, you might find it somewhat crowded with their customers and all that goes with that. As for trails, they are pretty narrow so beware of poison ivy mid-summer...or just wear pants. There are also some ruins to explore around the trail mid-point.

Get a paddle !!! . Super chill and fun . Older shuttle driver ( don't know name ) amazing . It was a lot going on the day I arrived and he handled everything so well . He was a big part of the experience going well and I just want to give him credit . Sidenote : When they say keep right. KEEP RIGHT . That 300ft to boating ramp sign means you need to be all the way to the right !!!!

Beautiful hiking trail. Not very challenging, fairly even a few roots to look out for. Great views of the Chattahoochee River and the birds and animals that call it home. I took my 4 year old and she loved it and didn't have too hard of a time walking the trail

$5 parking and only once in 10 years could I not find parking. We come here to do river floats and have a great time!
