A FABULOUS NIGHT! I had so much fun yesterday at Painting with a Twist. My friend and I wanted to meet up for a chill girls night so I searched events online and found this ad on Facebook. This particular night was “Galentines” themed. As are most sip and paint studios guests are encouraged to BYOB, however this night we were treated with complimentary champagne, mini cheesecake bites and chocolate strawberries. How cute! :)
Mia is the owner of the studio and she is so incredible sweet! She was very welcoming as soon as I walked in the door. You can just tell how she’s a genuinely kind person and wants to make sure everybody enjoys their experience at her studio.
Our art class was led by an artist named Rosa. She was too funny with a bubbly personality. She kept the atmosphere so fun and carefree! It was very easy to follow her steps to create our paintings and she often walked around to check our progress and gave helpful pointers. Mia also incorporated a cute little game while we were waiting for a portion of our paintings to dry. It was similar to pin the tail on the donkey. We took turns spinning in circles a few times, put a blindfold on and had to walk towards a painting and place a wine glass cut out as close we could to where it should be placed on the painting.
The paintings took about 2 hours to complete which seemed like the perfect amount of time for this experience. We walked away with pretty pictures of heart shaped flowers in mason jars.
I really enjoyed my time here. I would totally recommend checking this...
Read moreWish I could leave 0 stars. Terrible experience. After booking, they sent me a text a little while in advance saying they might not have enough painters and may have to cancel. But they wouldn't confirm this until two hours before the event. That's not okay. Don't you think it would be better to just cancel and refund so that your patrons can find something else to do with their evening? Why hold on to our money to wait and see if you can get more? Not to mention I called several several several times all day at various times and nobody answered until 15 minutes before it was supposed to start. They way they handle business felt ghetto so I didn't go. Take the money if you want it so badly.
Update: called again after their reply and still didn't get anybody. They'll happily keep the money because they have such a terrible refund policy and poor communication. I think next time it would be wiser to book with someone who takes deposits instead of the full price, and offers more than useless credit in the event of cancellation. Someone who provides no service should be happy to extend a refund since you didn't use any of their product, or effort. Do yourself a favor, don't spend money on activities in Atlanta. Buy some good food and stay in. You'll only get scammed stepping...
Read moreWow so I got a request to review my experience. Don’t mind if I do… First I was very excited to spend an evening painting w my mom on her birthday. I even called an hour before to confirm. Then, I went to pick Up mom and sound out she was actually sick! Coming down with something. I immediately called the studio. The person who picked up introduced herself as “Mia, the owner” said it’s unfortunate but “it’s not my policy to do refunds” I inquired if the possibility of Covid is still not something she would consider??? She was dead set on “my no refund policy” and won’t budge. She also said. “The best I can do is give you a 30 day voucher for half the money…” WOW IndeEd!!! If being rude and having no compassion or understanding was a person it would be Miss Mia! Not only is she not refunding me money but is expecting that I would return and actually Give her more of my money so she can be rude to me! Wow! Wow! Wow! I hope this review is a lesson for anyone who decides to book a party with this business!! I really thought of going there again after mom is better. But now, I will NEVER EVER give this insensitive person my...
