First off, I could never ever EVER say enough about So Cal Prosthetics. They were literally heaven sent. My client was in need of this service for a below the knee amputation. I was given the information to other companies and decided to do some research of my own, I just wanted to insure that my client was getting the best. I found SCP via Google, after visiting their website, I had a really great feeling about this place. I just got the feeling that it was the right choice. I was super impressed with the time frame that I initially called them, and how quickly they were able to schedule our first appointment. I was also very impressed with their proactive approach to emailing the initial documents and authorizations, so once we arrived to the appointment those things were already done.

Brenda the first voice and the first face that you will see! AMAZING!!! So welcoming, reassuring and just the sweetest person ever! The facility is absolutely beautiful and peaceful and they have the sweetest welcome committee (the pup) onsite. Honestly EVERY single person that we encountered there was exceptional! Professional, encouraging, supportive and genuinely committed to giving the best customer service and product! They are absolutely considerate of every single detail of the process and you as a person. I just can’t find the words to express my gratitude and how awesome of an experience choosing this place turned out to be. I was also very impressed with the turn around time for my clients leg! He is absolutely so happy about SCP, when we started this journey, right after his amputation he was very down, our visits with SCP has turned his whole perspective on the new life ahead of him around. He is once again happy and hopeful, and adjusting to his new prosthetic very well. It has been such a joy to see him thrive and I’m so grateful to SCP for the wonderful experience.

Rick…. Truly is an Angel on earth, again I’m at loss for words describing how awesome he is! He has an amazing ability to teach and explain things in just the perfect way. He listens, is very attentive, through and knows his craft very very well, also he’s extremely witty and will have you laughing a lot, I loved that about him! It really lightens the mood and makes the experience really comfortable.

My client is very happy with his prosthetic and SCP! SCP and Rick Myers have given me so much of my life back and from the beginning assured me that despite my life altering amputation, I could be and would be independent and mobile again.

I was first introduced to Rick Myers in In December of 2022. I was a 20 years old and a new bilateral above the knee amputee struggling with the prosthetics I had from a clinic in Dallas Texas, my home. This struggle had been extremely deflating and made walking independently again seem more like a far-fetched dream than a possibility. After sitting down with Rick and discussing what could be done differently to achieve my goals I was willing to switch providers with hopes the team at SCP would be able to help. I spent over a week at their clinic getting new sockets made and I can confidently say that making that decision was one of the smartest things I've ever done. In just three days I was already able to walk around unassisted (in test sockets) which is something that I could not even do with the laminated sockets I had from the other clinic. It was relieving to find out that my inability to walk was not from a lack of personal effort or strength but because I was previously set up with improper alignment and sockets that were not suitable for my specific injury. Through the weeks I was able to progress rapidly and had the opportunity to meet many incredible patients from all over the world. The most significant part of this was that this clinic restored belief that many things I was beginning to believe were out of the realm of possibility were and are in fact possible.

I have continued to travel across the country to see Rick for my prosthetic care and will continue to do so until one of us can't walk anymore. This clinic has allowed me to achieve one of my biggest goals which was to return to college, going full time and in person, just as I was before the...

I have been and amputee since October 1993. Before my amputation I was very active I loved to run and swim. Then one day I was hit by a car while running and my life permanently changed. I can say I have been blessed having had very good prosthetists making my prosthetic legs throughout the years of my journey in the prosthetic world. I have always researched and sought out what was available as far as the best prosthetic components and the companies that provided this care. A couple of years ago someone very knowledgeable had mentioned the double wall socket designed by Rick Meyer Southern California Prosthetics. This socket design was said to be airtight and stayed secure. You see the biggest problem I have had with all my previous prosthetics was slippage. The prosthetic would start to slip off. I'd find myself having to re do or take my leg off and put it back on several times a day. When my prosthetics slips …it trips me and it pinches, it is uncomfortable in every way. I decided to find my way to SCP thankfully I was able to get this new socket. And find out for myself Rick has come up with the solution to this slipping problem! His double wall socket design stays secure! I have been able to go all day without having to find a place to change. I have been going for long walks. This new socket is allowing me to do more and learn how to walk better. I have had my new double wall socket for only a couple of months, and already this has been a new freedom. I look forward to finding more things I will be able to do. I am very grateful to have found SCP the entire staff have been incredibly helpful and kind.
