Gold Striker — Attraction in Santa Clara

FANTASITIC wooden coaster! This is probably the most intense wooden coaster I have ever ridden. The pacing on this ride is flawless! It does not have a single dull moment on it. Every airtime moment hits very hard and that twisted layout is nearly impossible to memorize. In my opinion the front row is the best seat on this ride because it offers the smoothest ride experience and you get pushed into those airtime pops. The ride could be a little bit smoother, but for me it doesn't matter when you have a layout that good! This is my personal favorite coaster at CGA and a must ride...

This roller coaster is so unpleasant. Not only does the track shake you like a paint mixer, but it slams you into turns like getting body-checked in hockey. More like getting beaten up than a thrill ride. You are too busy trying to brace from the assault than enjoying the suspense or the speed. My neck still hurts. I think it gives everyone a mild concussion. Half the people getting off looked like they regretted riding it. It is too bad because all the other coasters in the park are great....

Great wooden coaster. It’s getting old and clickety-clackety so don’t ride if you have back problems or have issues being jostled. Camera is 10s after the first drop. Line moves fast if both cars are operating. Not intense enough to knock off glasses but wear a hat at your own risk. First drop is the most thrilling, subsequent drops definitely have some surprises. Lots of low beams do not a great idea to have hands up the whole time if...
