Echoing some other sentiments in reviews, I struggle with the “Tapestry” collection with Hilton. Hilton is synonymous with luxury, not quite as much as Hyatt, but definitely 2nd. These Tapestry properties can be hit or miss, and this one is mostly a miss. Changing things up, let’s start with the negatives: Rooms are outdoor entry. To say the environment is loud would be an understatement. I felt like I could hear people down in the lobby across the way. This is enhanced by the “stucco” ish walkways in which roller bags sound like semi trucks moving across the property. Sleeping in here did not seem feasible as I was awakened multiple times by either cleaning personnel or other guests moving about the property. Additionally, my door was not very flush with the jamb for an outdoor room which allowed more noise. The elevator leading to my 4th floor room was out of service, requiring me to search, at midnight, for the alternative elevator (the signage was super unclear) until the front desk clerk helped me find it. I was told I chose a wonderful room with a view but the view was just the pool and the street below; it seemed like the other rooms would have the same view? My lamp was flickering constantly until I figured out someone had loosened the bulb. It was then I noted electrical tape holding the cord together. Outlets were hidden behind the bed; it had one of those multi plug things on one side of the bed only. This would have been a problem if traveling as a couple. Now, the good: The person who greeted me on the night shift was truly wonderful. There was no diet sodas in the pantry area to purchase so she went “in back” and made a Diet Coke with ice for me in a large cup (the location shares resources with the Starbucks, which is another perk: it’s literally right there). She was also very helpful when she learned that the elevator was out of order. The room itself was clean and somewhat modernized I suppose. For me, hotels need to be clean and quiet. This hotel got one right. To be honest, I can’t see myself staying here again but the rate was very reasonable so if that’s important to you, this...

We don't really have motels in the UK but I've seen people review this place as a Motel and I get what they mean, it doesn't feel like any hotel I've ever stayed in. However, the beds are very comfortable and its reasonably clean. I don't like the way you have a window which looks directly out on the walkway and people can just walk right past your window. I guess this is what defines a Motel and Hotel?
The staff here are really very polite and friendly and more than happy to help and answer questions. Don't leave any change out on your desk, I think the cleaners thought it was a tip and it was gone when I came back. I didn't complain as it was only a couple of $ and being that this was my first U.S trip I thought perhaps it was traditional. There is a small "strip mall" (and that's nothing to do with naked ladies) just across the road where you can find a general store and a couple of food places so you dont need to eat in the pancake house every day. There is a gym which is open 24/7 and a pool which looks nice but I never tried out but it looks clean.
Internet access: I see a charge of $4 per day on my bill, but I didn't see anything in the Ts and Cs to say it would cost. Its not much but some up front warning would be nice.
Earplugs: Its right near the road and there is a lot of coming and going around reception possibly because of the pancake house next door. I've heard people whooping and shouting as late as 4.30am, although quite why you'd be doing that on a school night is beyond me, maybe they just won the lottery and didn't have to work the next day! Lucky buggers!
Overall I would stay here again, I was placed here by my work so I didn't pay but I thought it only fair to write a review to be honest to people going to stay here. If you are paying money try to ask for somewhere not too close to reception and the road and it might be quieter. There is a Marriot across the road if you want a proper Hotel, although I don't know how much more...
Read moreThe purpose of my visit was to watch a game at Levi Stadium. I stayed for one night in January 2020. I checked-in early evening and during that time I had a nice conversation with their front desk staff that concluded with exchanging smiles. The initial room I was given, room 342, was a disappointment. Both the TV and the heat exchange were inoperable. What was most worrisome was the front door not able to lock. When I contacted the front desk they recommended having their maintenance person look at the issues before making any moves to a new room. After a 10 minute visit from their maintenance person inspecting all the issues, who by the way was very kind, said to me, “I don’t understand why they gave you this room”, as he pointed to the door frame. “The door is out of alignment so it cannot be locked.” Needless to say I was assigned a new room immediately. A better room. Room 337. This hiccup was managed properly and I do give credit to the Avatar team for their actions. ||||The hotel has its own parking spaces which is free-of-charge but at your own risk per the posted signs saying “at your own risk” - the parking lot has no security measures.||||It is true from other reviews that you can hear every step outside of your room. However, I didn't experience a lot of foot traffic and perhaps in part of staying during a slower time. ||||Keep in mind this is classic motel-style accommodations. No amenities, no room service, only the adjacent IHOP restaurant. Though the hotel is dated, the rooms are kitschy and no doubt outdated, Avatar makes it convenient to walk to Levi Stadium and indeed was fun walking with all the football fans. I like the Hotel staff. I had a comfortable sleep. The place is welcoming, clean and all the linens were of good quality. Will I return? I'm not sure. The experience overall...
