Jake Kuredjian County Park — Attraction in Santa Clarita

Amenities - mmm, not much. Bathrooms and they were nice and clean but other than that, you may want to check out my reviews of City of Santa Clarita Parks. They are typically much better equipped than Jake Kuredjian. What this park does have, in spades, is lots of trees, consequently lots of shade and plenty of plush grass (4/2024). Huge, old Oak trees that are the dominant feature of the park, in my view anyway. Lovely and massive. Grass is also plentiful with nice views of the Santa Susana mountains. It's next to an Elementary school which was out when I was there. Not a lot of benches, no pavilion, no B-Ball or tennis courts, no grills and no..... you get the idea. It's beautiful and for a blanket picnic that you've already prepared all the food, it's lovely. As far as parks go, as an SCV and Canyon Country resident, it lacks a little. You can get your steps in and it does have a relaxing vibe. I'd give it 3.5 stars. It isn't a 4 star park by my measure but it also isn't a 3 star park with all the trees and grass so I'll give it a round up boost. If you have kids and want to throw a frisbee, kick a soccer ball, this is a good fit for you. If you want hiking trails, fitness options and park amenities, meh,...

Beautiful, quiet, and serene with a fantastic Mountain View. Medium-sized and mostly flat with some very gradual hills. Lots of wildlife (squirrels, birds, butterflies). Once you step into the park, you feel like you're all alone.

Wish there were more benches or picnic tables. But the trees are huge, so there's plenty of shade. They are surrounded by wood chips, so you might want to bring a blanket if you're planning on having a picnic.

There is a waking path that curves around the park, as well as a doggy bag dispenser. There is also a restroom, but it's on the opposite side of the park from the parking lot. No playground and parking lot only has space for 8 cars. Off of a main road, so no street parking, but you could turn into a nearby neighborhood or the elementary school next to the park.

Very lovely park. It's spacious and has plenty of grass and shade trees. There's a long walking/bike path connected to the park as well and it's close to the river so you can see cool wildlife such as California quail. Now for why I only gave 4 stars: it wasn't crowded this time but the parking lot was tiny so I can see that being an issue. I also had to drive far out of my way when leaving to find a place to do a uturn. The most annoying though was farther down the bike path was absolutely covered in doggy doo doo. Come on people! I've often walked with multiple dogs and a cat and still manage to clean up after ourselves. It's just common courtesy. I cleaned up 10 piles of poop, a mask and a plastic...
