I have been to this location several times. On one occasion, I went alone with my two children. We got there at 7, when they open. You would expect that everything was clean and ready to go for the day. That was not the case. Whoever did the side work the night before obviously didn’t care because the table was dirty and sticky. I pointed it out to the server and he almost questioned what I was saying. I picked up the kid’s menu and showed him the visible syrup stains on the back of the paper. He didn’t do a very good job cleaning the syrup that had been there from before.
I went with my two boys again to celebrate my older son finishing his first week at a new school. The server was kind of rude.
We went today to celebrate my baby’s birthday. I ordered their Abuelita horchata and it took everything in me not to spit it out. I thought maybe it was just me but my grandma tasted it and she said it was definitely bad. My dad tasted it too and he had the same reaction as I did. Our server was nowhere to be found so that I could ask her for a different drink. We had to ask the runner to change my drink. Also, our server got my husband’s order wrong. I understand mistakes happen but it wasn’t even a busy time. My dad and husband also wanted coffee refills but the server was nowhere again and we had to ask.
The food is great here (except for that nasty drink I was given today) but the service needs to improve. Our server was trying to refuse splitting our check and said they couldn’t itemize what we wanted. It’s not my first time coming here with other people and no one has ever given me that issue, except for her. She could also be nicer and...

The food here is nothing short of spectacular. Every dish is prepared with high-quality ingredients, and the flavors are delicious. The menu offers a variety of options that cater to all tastes. I recently ordered mexican benedicts and they were finger licking good. It was so good I ate it so fast and forgot to take a picture. The dinner selections are equally impressive, with each dish beautifully arranged.
What truly sets this restaurant apart, however, is the exceptional service. The staff is warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to ensuring you have a great dining experience. They take the time to explain the menu in detail, making thoughtful recommendations if you're unsure what to order. Throughout the meal, they are always on hand to refill drinks, clear plates, and make sure you have everything you need without being intrusive.
The ambiance of the restaurant is equally inviting. The space is clean and beautifully decorated, with a warm and relaxing vibe that makes you want to linger long after your meal is finished. Whether you're dining alone, with family, or with friends, the environment is perfect for enjoying good food and good company.
I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a consistently great dining experience. Whether you're a regular or visiting for the first time, you can expect delicious food, outstanding service, and a welcoming...
Read moreI'm a big fan of brunch restaurants (or even breakfast restaurants that I decide to refer to as "brunch restaurants" to psychologically elevate the experience for myself. Enter Casa Canela, a newer location of a restaurant located on the other side of the Santa Clarita Valley, near all the hotels on The Old Road and the entire Stevenson Ranch community. We arrived, a party of 5 without a reservation, and had a short wait for a Sunday morning before being seated.
The staff was very friendly and our server did everything he could to make sure we got what we wanted how we wanted it.
It's standard breakfast with some Mexican-influenced dishes and drinks. Somewhat on the pricy side...or possibly the cost of brunch overall has gone up everywhere you go. I had the Cafe de Ella as breakfast isn't breakfast without coffee and why not try this special cinnamon-infused version of this breakfast essential. It was okay. I like a really strong coffee and many breakfast places just don't brew it strong enough...coffee is kind of an afterthought...That's basically what I got, a weak coffee that was somewhat saved by the cinnamon infused in it.
The food otherwise was good with large portions. I had a side of home fries and a side of French toast. The potatoes are nice big chunks with good flavoring and spices. The French toast was good.
Since it's breakfast there are plenty of options for vegetarians and even the lunch menu has a lot to choose from, especially with the Mexican options.
You'll get a decent meal here and will be taken care of well by the...
