Good selection, the first visit seemed to go very well. As many reviewers have stated - I found good selection and liked the prices. My issue for the most part has been service. I would not tell people not go to this retailer - but I caution the company to strive to do better, because it was rather ridiculous.
I bought a bed for my 3 year old daughter, who of course has a mostly pink and white room. First of all - it came in and no one called me; no follow up as well. I went to pick it up, and it was BLUE - wrong color. The bigger issue was, at first - they COULD NOT FIND my order. I was sitting outside the loading bay for an HOUR.... They found two of the three pieces - so even if it was the right color, I was not going to get out easy.
What I hated the most was that there were probably two really friendly associates - and then a bunch of other people that just made me feel a bit uncomfortable around. It is not a common practice for this group to say hello, offer any form of small talk (which may be fine for some)
When you walk into a store and just stand there waiting awkwardly for anyone to acknowledge you are there - it is just weird. I mean the first rule of retail is environment, and they have a great show room and some good staff - but it doesn't feel like things are connected.
For example - when I went to pick up with bed, I realized I forgot my receipt - so I called them about 10 minutes away to ensure they would have my information and could pick up the bed.
You would think that if a customer calls saying they are 10 minutes away that the product would be waiting for them, or people would be expecting to see you... not the case at all. What the retailer did not know was that it was my wife's 29th birthday and I had to pick her up from a facial after this quick stop - that was nothing close to quick.
Again, order lost - wrong item anyways, poor communication of expectations to the client (me) that was waiting.
The gentleman who helped us out was phenomenal, and the back office seems to do a good job with phone calls and providing service. But in person - everything just feels so much worse. The care you get initially is perfect, but the follow up and the experience that leaves a lasting memory was poor.
I also have to say, it took me a while to actually find the place because they have no signs that say - turn in to this alley for simply discount furniture... so I could see it initially - but had no idea to drive up this little side road to get there.
All and all - many small things that could be done to improve. Again - this is me being constructive because I liked their selection, their prices were very competitive, and initially I felt very positive about the service... it just went downhill from there. Mistakes happen - but there is a better way to go about it. I felt like there was not enough transparency happening and I was just upset that I was not being considered. My time did not feel important when in actually really did matter.
To leave your wife waiting on their Birthday is not a good thing to do - if they were having issues, I would have preferred them to say - we are having issues and cannot get this to you quickly. If you wait an hour to pick up something that YOU KNOW has been there for weeks... then you got a problem. Especially when you leave...
Read moreI have been researching & calling numerous stores trying to locate this dining set so I could test out the comfort of the chairs. Everyone had it in their warehouses but no one had it on their sales floors. My family and I went to a few furniture in the area that were terrible. Ashley's staff were stalking our every move, and refused to give us privacy to shop, Royal Suite Home Furnishings staff was rude upon walking into the door when we Saud we were only looking his reply was "I don't believe you, no one comes into a furniture store just to browse". He left a poor taste in out mouth, so we walked our immediately. Our last hope was Simply Discount Furniture. We where greeted by Bruce, and carried on to browse. We did not see the dining set we wanted on the floor, but Bruce stated they have it in stock. My urgency was that we needed the set by this Sunday, and Bruce stated the soonest delivery would be next week. Of course that wouldn't work out for us, so we left empty handed. The next day, I set out to continue the hunt for this particular dining set, and again no stores had it on their sales floor, and if I were to purchase no store agreed to deliver it before Sunday. Of all the furnitures we've dealt with, Bruce at Simply Discount furniture was a dear. So we called Simply Discount, Bruce was off that day, but we were assisted my a lovely & intriguing gentleman named Greg. I explained my urgency and was really skeptical about purchasing furniture I've cannot sample to the touch, but my heart was really set on this particular set, and my mind was made up. Greg did mentioned that delivery was a week out, but I really really wasn't going to give up but truly wanted & needed the set by this Sunday. So Greg worked his magic and made it happened, it was to be delivered w/ assembly that Saturday. OMG!!! I as so estactic that I teared up in route to Simply Discount store to finalize the paperwork. Excited & forever grateful is an understatement, and it's all because the amazing Gregory made the impossible happen for us. The delivery men were quick, punctual & assembled the set within 15 minutes. Thank you so so much Greg, we owe you tremendously. To be honest, this store had a huge amount of high end quality furniture at extremely affordable prices, way better than ALL the other furniture stores including Living Spaces. Seriously, Simply Discount is #1 in our book, and will be our furniture home from this day forward. Life is even better, thanks to Greg T at Simply Discount. Thank you!!

Read moreIt all started when I purchased furniture from Simply Discount Furniture. Excited about my new purchase, I finalized my order and left, thinking everything was squared away. The next day, however, I realized I wanted to make some changes to the original order. I visited the store, and they agreed to modify it, even returning a small portion of the payment.
When I arrived to finalize the changes, I was in a hurry—my kids were waiting to be picked up from school. The store staff processed the transaction quickly, and in my rush, I didn’t get a receipt for the revised order. I didn’t think much of it at the time; after all, I trusted everything was handled professionally.
A few days later, I had second thoughts about the entire purchase and decided to cancel the order. When I called the store to request a refund, I was hit with an unexpected response: "All sales are final." They claimed it was written on the receipt from the original transaction.
I was taken aback. At no point during my initial purchase or the modification process had anyone mentioned a "no refund" policy. I hadn't even received a receipt for the modified order, which only added to my frustration. How was I supposed to know the policy if it wasn’t communicated?
To make matters worse, I later discovered that one of the same bed I had purchased was listed at a much cheaper price in the store’s inventory vendor catalog. Out of curiosity, I began researching the prices of similar furniture items online and realized that almost everything I had purchased was significantly marked up compared to other retailers.
This completely eroded my trust in the business. Not only was I being refused a refund under a policy I was never told about, but I also felt deceived by their pricing practices. What I had assumed to be a fair transaction now felt like I had been taken advantage of, which only strengthened my resolve to fight for my rights.
There is no item delivered to me as of today. So basically they have...
