Prices are too high for what the company provides. Unfortunately in Santa Clarita, the options are limited. Lack of competition and alternatives forces customers to accept overcharging. I have dropped my telephone service and tv service and only kept internet. If their were a comparable alternative I'd drop their internet service as well; again, lack of alternatives allows them to price gouge. Called Customer Service to try and negotiate a better deal/package. The CS rep told me, the good deals are for new customers only. Not a week goes by without my receiving a form letter in the mail offering me a "great deal" from Time Warner. I called again and spoke to a Sales Rep. By the time equipment, taxes, and a myriad of other charges are tacked on, the "deal" is just as expensive as buying directly from their internet site. The on-site service is also poor. They contract with other businesses to provide most of their installations. Had to call seven times and demand a Time Warner technician before the initial installation worked. The original installer failed to crimp one of the cable connections. After days of wasted time on the telephone, and time waiting for repair, once the problem was found, Time Warner did not offer any adjustment what-so-ever, not even an apology. In fact, because I held off paying the first bill due to the problem, they refused to give me the $200 gift card that was advertised. The said the small print states that an account must be in good standing to get the gift card; my account was not in good standing because my bill was paid late. According to TW, I should have paid them even though the service was not working and it was costing me time and headaches to deal with them regarding a problem caused by their contracted installer. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI cancelled our Spectrum Internet when we started a whole house restoration last year. The house was vacant so no need to pay for the service. Well, the house is now habitable. So I placed an order for Internet service. I arrived at the Spectrum office in Valencia and picked up the router and modem. However, there was no signal coming into the house from the cable box at by the sidewalk. Now, three different technicians have come by. Each one with a different diagnosis and solution. I have no idea when the Internet service will be connected. It's been 3 weeks now and no solution is sight. However, I did get a bill informing me of my monthly bill that must be paid. I will have to call them and dispute this because I should not pay for service that does not exist. Customer service from Spectrum leaves much to be desired. Latest development. Just received a notice that the folks at Spectrum have read my review. Their solution is for me to reach out to them via Facebook or Twitter. Does anyone reading these reviews honestly believe that offering me to solve the lack of Internet at my house is going to be solved by customer service via social media outlets ?

Then the store rep( Wendy was the name she gave) stated that I have an attitude because i stated that Spectrum is one company to me and they should honor what the customer service rep advised. I called customer service again and they put an order on my account for the router. I walked back in the carl boyer store with the customer service rep on te phone and a different store rep said they pulled up the account and there is no order. The customer service rep on the phone confirmed the order is attached. I gave up and walked out an unhappy customer. It is a shame this is the level of customer service from this store.
