Farmers' Market West Side — Attraction in Santa Cruz

It took me a long time to find parking and walk over to the farmer's market. Once I arrived I noticed no dog signs everywhere and also dogs everywhere, so no one listens but it still made me uncomfortable because I had a puppy with me... I was just there for coffee, I waited in the line to get coffee and once it was my turn, in fine print the bottom of the menu stated Cash Only. It's 2023, what company only does cash? They're losing customers, they lost me as a customer. Anyone running a small business should know the importance of accepting payment in a wide range of forms, otherwise they limit themselves and inconvenience...

My boyfriend Juan and I had an amazing time yesterday. This market has everything you can think of and way more than I imagined. From various types of home grown mushrooms to a variety of meat pies. Top it off with beer, a cinnamon bun, and ice cream makes a perfect trip. I really appreciate this token system they implemented where you can buy tokens worth $1-$5 each with a card just in case you didn’t bring any cash! We are really eager to go again this Summer, can’t wait to see what else there...

If you happen to be nearby at Saturday between 9 am to 1 pm, it’s a great place to visit. Food is fresh & tasty. Vegetable, fruits, flowers, meats & eggs are all good value. There is even a band there helping your shopping & dining moods! I carried two “big” almonds croissants from farmers market French Bakery all the way to my car at lighthouse field...
