The ONLY issue was the fact that 10 minutes after we unpacked everything, another family came and set up right next to us and started fishing! There was plenty of other areas, but they decided that setting up less than 10 yards away where our kids were playing was the best place to fish. It's people, but not the park. Just be aware that fishing is allowed and people don't care where their lines go. The police ride by on 4 wheelers regularly and there is a lifeguard on duty who seems to be very aware of everything, which is reassuring. There are bathrooms and showers that are kept in good repair. There is a sign for beach wheelchair rentals that states it is open March-September, but we were there in early March and it was closed the whole time. If that's something you need, be sure to call ahead for times. The beach was free of debris. It was a...

There are miles of beach but this spot right here is just perfect! Located right next to the boardwalk, where there is food and entertainment is Beasley Park. It checks everything off the list without even trying. After driving up and down the Miracle Strip for a few hours, we noted a few spots where we could possibly go, but nothing was good enough. Either they wanted us to pay for entry or parking and I wasn't having it, the Beach should be free - that's my philosophy. We went to Beasley park and there was free parking, beach entry, showers, changing rooms, and a lifeguard! The sand is white like snow and on a good day, you can be far away from folks without feeling secluded. You can bring lunch as there are plenty of picnic benches under the gazebos.

This was our go-to spot all weekend and it was...

I like the history of how and why this beach got it's name but I will not return here. It seems to be a very popular place to have weddings and my day I visited John Beasley park was rudely interrupted by, 'Ma'am, we rented the beach for a wedding and you're going to have to move because we are setting up the chairs right where you're sitting'. Yeah, that did not sit well with me because only a few steps away was clear beach just for their occasion but I was in their spot..Maybe they should put up markers so people like me who only want to enjoy their time at the beach are not interrupted by being told to move. Mr. Beasley you do have a pretty beach but I'll never go back due to the lady and setup people who told me...

The parking lot never got over 1/2 full, even on weekends, so everyone had plenty of space. To the right of here is all hotels and food places, but to the left is nothing but public beach for probably about a mile. (Went straight from the beach to eat at Anglers a few times, I loved not having to get in my car and drive somewhere) Great place to walk as there's not 1000 families in the way with big beach setups like it is in front of the hotels. The restrooms stayed clean and there's 2 large picnic areas and 3 different showers. Loved that the restrooms also had large changing stations so you don't have to worry about dropping stuff in the toilet as you dress.

This is a great public beach. Plenty of parking and plenty of beach. Nice restrooms and pavilion if you want to get out of the sun for a few minutes. There are a few vending machines but were not working when I was there. Walk toward the surf and turn left, head East and there is all the pristine white sand and emerald seas you can handle. Happened to visit right before Michael hit, had the double red out and had to evacuate. Actually writing this about 12 hrs pre landfall, hope it fizzles.
