I’ll cut right to the chase. We came in at 7:30 pm to grab a coffee since this is really the only place on the island that has any. We checked Google maps and confirmed that closing time was 8pm. We get there and the young lady working the coffee area is cleaning some stuff up and doesn’t immediately acknowledge us. No problem, finish what you’re doing. After a few minutes though, it became obvious that she knew we were standing there, at the counter, and I assume was hoping we would just go away. She finally looks up and asks us “if there was something we needed” then maybe it was “are you guys wanting something from here”. A bit off putting, and I knew what was coming next. When we asked for a coffee, we were told it was mostly all cleaned up for the day. All we wanted was a simple coffee, not even any kind of fancy drink.
So are you open until 7:30 or is it 8? Because it says 8 on the door and it’s not like we were there 5 minutes before closing.
I leave very few reviews, but one of the things that I will always always always leave a bad review for is when a place is closed or service isn’t given before the posted closing time. If I thought you were closed, I would have driven into town instead of wasting my time in an attempt to patronize a small, local business. It seems like a nice establishment otherwise and I’m sure my experience isn’t indicative of the overall business, but for me, personally, it was a very...
Read moreNot recommended, for breakfast anyway. They have a light breakfast menu with pastries, cakes etc. So I thought I would try it. Purchased a blueberry muffin, cinnamon roll, and cinnamon raisin bagel. I did this after a couple of items I would have rather had we're no longer sold they told me even though they were on the menu. The muffin was a very small package Otis spunkmeyer muffin, the bagel was retrieved straight out of a bag from the grocery store, and the cinnamon roll, although not sure where it was from, was actually pretty decent and they heated it in the microwave. All this for 1over 10 bucks. Pretty much a rip off I guess it's expected at the beach of course. It was just a little deceiving to me as their front glass counter had some bigger pastries etc so I assume things were actually made there or locally nd would be better and be a...
Read moreLocated in a cute place with lots of other shops and in a location that can be accessible by foot if you are staying in nearby condoes. We were expecting an actual made-to-order restaraunt but it is located inside a boutique and specialize more on coffees! We ordered a cappuccino and a cold brew which were very good and hit the spot for what we were looking for. The açaí bowl was delicious and my husband ordered the breakfast sandwich and he said it did the job. If you’re looking for a close location for a little handheld breakfast, Oasis meets that but it is not made-to-order food if that’s what you’re looking for. Do expect a little wait time as it was kind of busy when we went but we were satisfied and enjoyed the patio...
