Castillo Granite and Marble Specialist Corp. — Attraction in Sarasota

Castillo Granite was recommended to me by a local contractor. It was a joy from start to finish dealing with this small, family owned and operated company. Marcos (the owner) came out to measure, then I met with Gabriella who priced the job and helped me pick out the materials. She was wonderful to deal with and very helpful trying to keep me within budget. On the day of installation, Marcos sons, Marcos junior and Jerry came out to install. They were wonderful, very neat and I am thrilled with the job they did and the price I paid. Although I am not going to post my information here, I have told Gabriella that she is free to give my telephone number to anyone who would like to talk to me about this wonderful local business and even come out to see my beautiful new counters. One other thing, the one bad review was written about Marcos brother who is no longer with the company... You won't regret using this wonderful company and getting to know this amazing family. Quart counter top turned out great, but service was horrible. Bad communication within the company which resulted in them ordering the wrong kitchen cabinet color. Instead of having to wait another 3-4 weeks to get the correct cabinet, we worked around what they had installed. Provided us with a sink, but did not inform us as to the type of faucet we needed, when they had told us earlier that we can get any type. This resulted in us buying a pricier faucet and not to our style. We had a center set, but had to purchase a different kind. Faucet arrived and was told that they would install it but won't do the plumbing. Umm...what's the point of that!? Lots of promises made in the early phase of this project, but apparently, they don't recall. After comparing with other companies we decided to go with Castillo because of the price and the people that work there are nice and polite. However the craftsmanship is not there. After they came and installed our quartz countertops they left them dull and certain areas needed repairing. We contacted them and let them know about it.They sent someone out after waiting over a month and when they came out they buffed out the countertops a little and still, they didn't fix the areas that needed repair.
