I visited High End several times. I am not a member but could be and I’m a woman. First the owners are the best. They are very welcoming, speak to everyone as they enter, and are class-acts. However, I feel that the staff does not try to find ways to find seating when it is limited or when seating is needed for more than 1 person. So the best time to visit is before 7pm on the weekend or anytime during a week day. There have been times I would just leave.
Regarding the cigar selection and humidor, you will always find a great smoke and the pricing is comparable to other lounges. However, filtration systems may need to be checked. Most times smoke lingers on my clothes, hair, purse for several days.
As far as the regulars/members, the women are hands down the best. They speak as soon as you walk in and make you feel welcomed, complimentary on your outfit if they like it and just create a sisterly feeling. However, I feel the men overall do not speak unless I do (they look), they do not try to make space for non-regulars/members, and are not inviting. If I ask is a seat is available, the men may readjust themselves to accommodate you. Most other lounges that I visited, the members seem to understand the assignment, and treat the new guests like they own the establishment, particularly when you’re a woman and try to make you feel welcomed. This could increase membership potential for the lounge.
Overall it’s better than the average. As a woman, it is best to patronize High End on a week day or early in the day on a weekend. Being that High End is a good drive from my home(30-35 minutes), I would like to make it worth my trip. With some minor adjustments, a 5 star rating would be warranted. It’s worth visiting, but the time you visit will determine...
Read moreNice place to smoke a cigar but at least for me not great customer service. I used to go there pre pendemic often but now most likely will not be returning there anytime soon. Walked into the door a guy with a beard sees me with my own cigar so he tells me that I must buy a cigar from them so I do. Than I order 30 dollars plus worth of espresso and sodas plus a cigar. When I was paying for an order the waitress tells me I have to buy another cigar because I smoked one of my own. I understand this is a membership based business. But I dropped 30 plus a cigar only to be told I have to buy another one nah. The thing is I used to go there pre pendmenic maybe start going their again. Not again the part is I can spend more money there in 4 months than a membership will get them ask J.R. cigars how much money I drop there a year a lot more than most members at this cigar joint do twice over. Oh well I guess that doesn't matter it will be a very long time if ever I will return there. This place has potential but poor...
Read moreI visited High End Cigars & Cafe for the first time yesterday with a few friends. The place has got an incredible ambience as you walk in, the furniture & décor were definitely carefully selected and the staff there are incredibly friendly & knowledgeable. I have just recently gotten into cigar smoking, and the staff was able to help my friends and I pick out cigars to our own individualized liking and taste. The patrons here were all very chill and friendly as everyone is there to have a great time. I also really appreciate the music choices here as they add to the incredible experience it already is. Lastly, I am very impressed by the incredible variety & selection of cigars offered here. I would definitely be returning with more friends in the future. If you're looking for an incredible lounge to enjoy a cigar with some very cool people, this is definitely the place to be! 5/5 Highly...
