I just recently stopped here to buy a single item that I couldn't find at Safeway. I found it and after I bought , I was in the parking lot when a tall, balding elderly man who seemed to be a manager came up to my window and informed me that I was parked in the E cart space. I looked up and saw the sign right in front of the car.... dumb mistake on my part, but it was an honest one. I apologized to the gentleman and said that I would move and as he walked away from me, no longer facing me, he continued on saying "you have been there for a while, it's for customers". At that point he was seeming to imply, in a rude cowardly manner, that I was not a customer. Now, i understand maybe a little attitude if there were cars waiting for those spots, or even if there was a car in the other spot and i was in the only available spot...but there were not, and I was not.... and as i sit here in an adjacent space writing this review... both spaces are still empty. I do not feel like i deserved the attitude I got from this guy, i can only imagine how he treats his staff.

RECYCLING: Nob Hill Foods in Scotts Valley takes back CRV bottles & cans!! THANK YOU!
(To be fair, it's the LAW that grocers selling CRV products must also accept the return bottles and return your deposits.. BUT FEW DO! And with recycling center closures, this turns deposits into non-refundable TAXES. Which is not how the law was passed.
I commend Nob Hill not just for following the law and providing this rare service, but also..
This store is a great place to shop! It's friendly, clean, great items, good produce.
THANK YOU!
For CRV recycling cans/bottles, they will take up to 50/day.
You separate & count them, and give them to the attendant at the self checkout stations.
Grab a shopping cart to put them into, preferably inside bags to keep the basket clean, and to make it easier for staff to remove them later.
If you have more than 50 cans+ bottles, then call ahead so they can arrange with someone...
Read morerecently had an unpleasant interaction with one of your employees at the Nob Hill location. While I acknowledge that I was in the wrong for temporarily parking in the e-cart parking space, I remained in my vehicle and had no intention of leaving it unattended. I was simply waiting for someone who was shopping inside the store, and due to the 100° heat, I chose that shaded spot. When the employee approached me, his tone and manner were unnecessarily rude. Professionalism and courtesy go a long way in customer service, even when addressing someone who may be in the wrong. I did call the store and spoke with the manager to share my concerns, but I hope this feedback helps ensure similar situations are handled with more respect in the future.
The employee in question was an older Caucasian man with a bald head. I hope this helps in identifying him so the matter can be addressed.
Thank you for your time, and I appreciate your attention to...
