This was a fun experience! I had never been to an escape room so didn't know what to expect. When first entering the building, we were greeted by the staff. He was very nice and welcoming. The front lobby is decorated with posters of the variety of escape rooms. There is a couch and loveseat to lounge and wait for your room. You must sign a waiver before entering and lock your phone (or any device that would take video or pictures of the escape room) in a locker. Before you go into your room the employee will give you a description of what is going on with your room (the back story of why you are trapped and need to escape). He also went over the rules. You then watch a short video of rules and how to play the game ( you get hints but it will deduct points). After that part you are taken to your room. We had a group of 4 and solving the clues was definitely a team effort. It was a lot of fun and would like to try out the other rooms. We did the Alice and the Wonderland. Very fun room! Everything is upside down! When you complete your room or your 1 hour time is up, you leave your room meet up in the front lobby. You get to take a group picture of your success (or unsuccessful) completion of the game. We had a great time! One more thing, you can reserve your escape room online in advance or sign up for one when you arrive. We did ours in advanced to make sure we had the room and time we wanted. When you reserve online they will not charge your card. It is just to hold your spot. (I didn't know that). You can pay how you want when you get there. Since we were two separate families we was able to...
Read moreOne of the many things I enjoy is surrounding myself with really smart, brilliant puzzle solving people and going to an escape room. We have yet to find a room we couldn't solve in the time allotted. So imagine my delight to have an escape room company in my backyard. They are very thoughtful and engaging rooms. Some of the rooms are multi-rooms which always adds to the level of excitement as you have to decide if you need elements from one room in the other...or not.
Especially when we have enough people, we like to split up into small groups and work multiple puzzles in parallel. The puzzles here are very linear and generally must be worked upon in sequential order. Not bad but this tends to keep the rooms a bit simpler and very structured.
The timer and hint system used iPads to manage all of the interactions so you're not using time waiting on a game master to give hints when needed. We have always been treated well by the friendly staff and anxiously look forward to new rooms as they...
Read moreCan’t beat the price!! There are definitely areas where the price point shows, but it’s still a nice spot. The hint system is a little frustrating, since they aren’t given directly by the Game Master and aren’t always very helpful - you can choose to unlock a clue for a lock, but already be past the first step in the puzzle and have to burn another clue to get relevant info. However, I’m sure this helps keep cost lower, since they don’t need a dedicated GM ready to type live clues for every room. The GM that served my friend group on Saturday night (Jeremiah) was amazing and you could tell he really enjoyed what he did. I brought my husband back to try another room and the Sunday GM was a little rude. Regardless, they were both good rooms and for $12-15 pp, we can’t be too picky! :) Thanks for all the work yall...
