I'm writing this review to discuss how this office originally gave me a negative mindset, but quickly changed into a great experience. My children were previous patient's of the Renton location, I recently moved closer to the West Seattle location. I tried calling the West Seattle location to setup appointments. I would always get the voicemail followed by a text. I responded to the texts inquiring about scheduling and every time we would get to actually scheduling the appointments, I would get no response. After several attempts, I reached back out, to the Renton location, explained my frustration, and wanted to return to that location. The appointments they had available were in early 2021. I became more frustrated, because I felt, had I been replied too, then my children would have had an appointment sooner. I also, didn't want to start the whole process over of finding a dentist that matched my criteria, and also having to hold my children off, with the dental issues they were experiencing. I left feedback with the Renton location and a suggestion, but I was also very understanding of the pandemic possibly, may have had an impact on this situation.
Soon after, the Doctor from one of the locations called and apologized and offered up his time to get my kids in sooner. I wasn't expecting this at all. I remember the staff member I left my feedback with saying she would be sure to reach out to the staff and doctors regarding my feedback, but I've heard this plenty of times and have never had someone truly respond with concern over feedback that I have left.
This is the definition of patient care, I am very thankful for the way, this matter was resolved. To add on to this experience, which is why I'm giving this a full 5 stars; my child (the one most scared of dentist) was seen at the Renton location, they took great care of him. He was relaxed and going along with the directions. He was to have a procedure for a cavity that was there for awhile, and his age being 4, they wanted me to seek out other opinions before moving forward. Most dentists don't do this. They will literally schedule you for the procedure. This was a statement, itself, when it comes down to patient care.
I WOULD RECOMMEND BOTH LOCATIONS TO ANYONE THAT IS LOOKING FOR A DENTAL OFFICE FOR THEIR CHILDREN. ESPECIALLY, FIRST...
Read moreI would not recommend anyone go here - especially during these wild times. It was as if the staff did not receive the memo that we are in the middle of a pandemic? They were not all wearing masks from the get-go and after emerging from the office across the hall from the treatment room where I was discussing possible treatment the the deist as my child stayed behind in the chair to watch a movie - there were not one but TWO staff members in that tiny treatment space cleaning as it was day end WITHOUT masks? Literally standing right next to my child - again, have you heard of the pandemic? Great that they seem to have set some standards for safety protocols but they certainly are not following them. Additionally the dentist's go to for treating ONE tooth was to put my child under - literally. His words were we could try a baby valium and laughing gas but that here really thought she should just be put under. ARE YOU CRAZY. 1) there are so many risks associated with that and 2) I am her mother and could tell my articulate very mature 7 year old was uncomfortable with you and your office staff. Period. So no, I would not suggest you take your child here the staff was rude and disorganized - especially with this whole COVID situation we are in - and the go to for a single tooth procedure that is NOT an extraction should never, ever be full sedation. Wondering if this is a bigger issue and should be reported to the state? I am assuming the payout on his end is a higher payday when they go under so it feels here is placing his financial gain over the safety of my daughter. It is also worth noting that even after i said over and over that sedation was NOT an option there was no hearing me and it just kept being the treatment...
Read moreWe have been taking our son to A Kid's Place Too! for the last 2-3 years. Our son was very afraid of the dentist and had a molar that did not develop properly and was in need of a crown. The staff is incredible and patient. From the minute we walked into the door, they did everything to help our son feel comfortable and worked with us to develop a treatment plan. We started with an appointment every 2-3 months to build confidence. Eventually he did need to have the crown put on under anesthesia. Everything was done on site and even though it was scary for us parents, Dr. McDonald was amazing. Now he is up to 1 appointment every 6 months and skips on the way to the office. He was able to sit for x-rays for the first time and completed an entire teeth cleaning. We were so proud...
