1st experience with this place was great. They answered the phone the gentleman was polite and very informative. 1st visit went excellent, the owner was there, we traded cards I bought a couple baseball hobby boxes but I was really there to buy the 2017-2018 Panini Prizm Basketball cards that were just released. Turns out UPS screwed up the delivery and nobody would see them for days. The much anticipated day arrived so I waited till about 12pm and called down. Sure enough they had came in and they had a box waiting for me. I called prior to heading down due to the distance they are from us. Upon arrival I asked to see the box and was greeted with attitude. I asked what the deal was with the new higher price (went from $225.00 to $279.00) and was told that they didn't set the prices. Well then who does, Mickey Mouse? I asked if she could figure the price out and again I was given attitude. At this point you've been nothing but confrontational since we walked through the door so we decided to take our business elsewhere. There Hobby Box was priced @ $225.00 but now they have it priced for $279.00 save your money and buy online. Happy...
Read moreVery friendly family ran store. Prices are extremely fair and staff have been patient (in the past) for customers searching for older items, but BE ADVISED the store does follow Covid protocols limiting shopper capacity and length of stay (a good thing IMO). I see a few unfair characterizations about store and owner and let me help clarify... as of Nov 2020 the sports card market is ON FIRE so if you are returning to the hobby and see prices that see high... they are. When you buy from a LCS you are seeing markups imposed by Mfgs (Topps or Panini) and distributers (GOGTS , etc.) that are imposed to exploit the pandemic and market demand right now. CE is usually 5-10% cheaper on new product than other card shops in the area. Yes some new packs/boxes may have a higher price than you remember as a kid but don't necessarily blame...
Read moreI would give this rating a -10 if I could. Based on the fact that I went there to sell a big portion of my Pokémon cards, and after hearing the owners son whisper to the other young man that works there saying "Dude these better all be here, cause she took pictures." Than the eldest man, (I assume is the owner) comes over with my cards and gives me an estimate of $960.00. I immediately declined took my cards, and headed home. I had a feeling there was some sketchy stuff going on at this establishment, so I kept the cards they wanted separate. After scanning all of the cards that were chosen from them, I totaled the value at $3,678.00!! Meaning the 55% that they pay was supposed to be $2,220.90...HUGE difference...This shop is a scam, so...
