A local classic! Pho Tic Tac has some of the best beef pho around and their noodle dishes may not look the best, but the taste is unparalleled!
My brother loves pho, like, LOVES pho, okay. And the 6th was his birthday and he wasn't sure what he wanted, so I looked up the closest five pho places to us and once we saw Pho Tic Tac, the competition wasn't even close.
We immediately placed an order for their well cooked beef pho (he's immunocompromised, doctor's orders) and I was starving so I threw in a beef chow mein order. It was done fast, we picked it up and took it home to celebrate!
Bliss! The beef for both of us was perfect, no stringy bits, just perfectly thoroughly cooked beef. No pink bits yet somehow not overcooked and zero burnt bits, it was so pleasant to put in my mouth.
I absolutely loved my dish, even though the noodles were anemic (although delightfully spicy!) and the vegetables relied heavily on onion and broccoli. A wider variety of veggies would be nice, as well as more traditional chow mein noodles, but eh, they're a Vietnamese-American restaurant not a Chinese-American restaurant, so I get it. I just love vegetables and in that sauce, sooo many things would taste amazing!
I had the lemongrass chicken here years ago for lunch with a friend and we had such a wonderful time I'm afraid I have zero memories of the food! Clearly, I need to try it again. A good lemongrass chicken is worth the wait!
My brother practically inhaled his soup, but from the glimpses I got, it looked and smelled incredible! It got a solid two thumbs up from the birthday boy! Many thanks to Pho Tic Tac for helping us make his day a special one, even though it was...

Read moreMy friend brought me here because she loves her hot and sour Thai noodle soup and the service. As soon as we walked in I understood what she meant about the service. The staff is very attentive and welcoming. They remembered her preferences -- which is always a good sign.
She ordered a fresh avocado smoothie, and it was truly delicious. Not made of powder but actual fresh avocados and choice of dairy or non-dairy.
It was on her recommendation that I tried the hot and sour Thai noodle soup but instead of Thai noodles she recommended the pho noodles. She went with the vegetable broth and the tofu to keep things vegetarian and I opted for the beef broth and the rare steak slices for the flavor. The soup was both refreshing and flavorful, something that it takes a really good spicy and sour soup to pull off. (Not to be mistaken for the Chinese hot and sour soup, which is an entirely different flavor.)
I can see why this is a regular go to pho spot for my friend.
North of 145th on Aurora. This spot has access through Aurora coming south, as well as Whitman Avenue. Plenty of comfortable seating. Fish tank also...
