I gave it three stars for a variety of reasons. I think the community center is great and very open to the public which I love. When I'm there, it used to be for the tennis courts. I used to play their a lot, and while their courts aren't the worst ever, I would give the courts alone a 4 out of 5 which is still pretty decent. However there are a large amount of homeless people there. While I'm usually fine with that because I don't understand their circumstances and how they got there, sometimes they would be sleeping right next to the fence where the tennis courts are. They would just glare at me when I would try to mind my own business and practice. It personally makes me very uncomfortable to do anything on the courts and causes uneasiness which makes it difficult to practice by myself or with others. From that alone drops my rating down from a 5 star overall to a 4 star. What drops it down to three stars is what happened when I was there around 3 p.m practicing my serves and one of the homeless people tried to steal my backpack with my binder and tennis balls in it. I had to quickly stop the person before they left, but ever since that time I've only been to those courts about two times...

It's not as bad as I originally expected considering the overwhelming amount of homeless in the areas I was thinking it was going to be overtaken by homeless camps and homeless people in the parking lot or all over but no actually wasn't bad. My dog had a blast here chasing the geese and running around the big grassy field other than the goose poop it was actually pretty well kept no trash all over the place like a long the sidewalks. Overall it was actually a very pleasant experience and it was pretty busy lots of people walking dogs or just getting out and walking around. Not bad at all it's not a very exciting place to go but it definitely exceeded my...

This park has a ton of potential. It is only one street over from the always interesting and unpredictable Aurora ave and has tennis courts and different athletic fields for use. But there is one thing keeping me from ever visiting this place in the future and that is POOP!!! There are a insane number of canadian geese and ducks that have basically taken over the entire park. It's seriously impossible to walk across the grassy areas of the fields and near bitter lake. If the city would do something about the geese and ducks this could possibly be a nice park but until that happens I won't...

Now the only place I will play tennis and pickleball in the area, as we have brand new beautiful resurfaced courts!! In addition to that after many years of waiting , at long last the Parks Department funded the installation of LED lighting for the area as welk, less overtly visible to the rest of the neighborhood! Consisting of a playground, tennis courts, baseball field and community center, this quiet and thoroughly beloved neighborhood park is located adjacent to, and located on the southeast shores of, Seattle's Bitter Lake.

They redid the playground and it is AWESOME, zip line, two person swing, super cool play structure for big kids and a smaller one for little, plus a really cool redesigned type of merry go round that the kids can turn themselves like a spinning teacup carnival ride and a big slide! My kiddos loved it!
