This is my first time visiting the new Husky Stadium and I AM IMPRESSED. Its quite intimidating in a thrilling way. The sheer size of it is unbelievable. The layout of its various fields is nice, everything is where it should be and it works. I cant imagine any of the UW athletes using this facility for practice, training or games, being anything less then excited, proud and thrilled with it. The stadium demands respect as nothing less then a front runner if not, the best College University Stadiums in the country and does its job making its point loud and clear. It knocked the wind out of me in an exciting way. A feeling I can only compare or describe as close to being what it felt like visiting Disney Land for the first time as a young child. Or what driving into Las Vegas and seeing the city lit up for the first time as a person old enough to participate in all the naughty activities the City of Sin has to offer felt like to me, almost 20 years ago now. The stadium has an ambiance about it that makes it feel almost ancient and mythical. Like something of a legend. A place that has emotion. A place with a history. A place that has many emotional experiences of which are hidden within the folds of time and saturated in the dirt of which now sits something of the same purpose that is still serving its purpose as it always has been and continues to be what it was always supposed to be only now, its doing it even better, harder and louder. I cant wait to return and highly recommend visiting the stadium on any given day regardless of if your a local looking for something to do with your family or if you are only visiting Seattle for a short time, it's definitely one of the spots you want to check out as soon as you can and while...
Read moreMy son and I went to the game at Husky Stadium. The game itself was great, but the trip there and back was frustrating. We had to deal with long lines to get on the light rail, and many people weren’t paying attention, making the whole process slower and more chaotic. The ride home was even worse. There was a long line just to get on the escalator to reach the light rail, and the line wrapped around the stadium. One transit security officer, in particular, was yelling at people to stay in a straight line, treating them more like subordinates than regular citizens. On top of that, people were cutting in line, and there was a general sense of disorganization. After standing around for what felt like forever, we finally got on the light rail, but it was so packed we could barely move. While the tickets were cheap, the hassle wasn’t worth it. The experience was so frustrating that it overshadowed the excitement of the game. To make things worse, for the first time as an adult, I had to wait in line to use the bathroom at the stadium. It felt like every part of the day, aside from the game, was filled with waiting, confusion, and...
Read moreI’m giving this experience five stars, and it’s all because of the fans. Husky Nation showed up loud, proud, and passionate, the kind of energy that turns a football game into a full-blown celebration. From kickoff to final whistle, the crowd was electric, fueling a thrilling Washington victory and making every moment feel larger than life.
I sat in the Touchdown Terrace at field level. While it was exciting to be so close to the action, the view was limited and hard to follow plays from that angle, and the replay screens were surprisingly small for a venue of this size.
Getting to the stadium was a challenge. I parked in Lot E7, which required a 20–25 minute walk through poorly lit roadways with no signage to guide the way. For an 8 p.m. kickoff, the lack of lighting and direction made arrival confusing and a bit unsafe.
For such a prominent university, the stadium itself felt underwhelming. The infrastructure didn’t match the excellence of the institution or the passion of its fans with their spirit, loyalty, and...
