Don't bother with shoes if you're going during spring. Super muddy, yet quiet natural space within the city. Fun place to sit and watch the boats go by.

A beautiful trail. Very easy, as well. Just come prepared for lots of mud. Good birding location, there are also many water lilies come summer.

Great interurban trail! Make sure to wear boots during the rainy months as it gets quite muddy!

Great walk along the shore of Union Bay. Views of the University of Washington football stadium and boathouse. It's a very active area for kayaking and canoeing as well as boat traffic moving between Lake Union and Lake Washington. We saw several great blue herons and many geese. A little wet and mucky in parts even in late summer. Wear shoes or boots appropriate...

This is the my favorite part of the arboretum. The path leading to Marsh Island is rickety and waterlogged. On an overcast day the ambience is somewhat Lovecraftian. Good spot for watching waterfowl...
