The employees are lovely. I use this location primarily for it's tanning beds and red light therapy. I am disabled with EDS and suffer from psoriasis flair ups quite often. So the Planet Fitness Red Light Therapy is a god sent to have access to when my psoriasis has flair ups. With these flair ups, one of the only things that makes life Bearable, is "Red Light Therapy " treatment. It is one of the few treatments available for patient relief to the psoriasis symptoms. This being the case, my review will mostly focus on the facilities ability to provide these services. First issue, FACULTY ACCESSIBILITY: being disabled, I have noticed the facilities lack of wheelchair accessible entrances. I have to be in a wheelchair or in crutches on and off in the year and I fear the accessibility level provided here is incredibly inadequate and lacking. Even being one of their "Black Card" members, I struggle to yank open the doors to the members lounge to even get to the light beds. Let alone get threw the front door with the same problem. Which leads me to another issue; ACCESSIBILITY TO RED LIGHT: The red light is ONLY offered in stand up beds..... so while in my wheelchair or in crutches, I'm unable to use the red light. I am aware that other locations provide more accessible options. (example the Lake Stevens Washington location has a chair and bed available) Now, the final issue; SANITATION/ LIGHT BED UPKEEP; neither the beds nor the stand up machines appear like their being cleaned between customers. I consistently find hair or other body Rememances on the machines while I approach use. I obviously sanitize before and after my uses. But that shouldn't be a requirement considering that this is supposed to be a "luxury" provided option. In closing, I understand the affordability is amazing and provides access to these kinds of treatments and facilities. That being said, I don't believe "affordability " should be used as an excuse to expense "accessibility ". We, the disabled, deserve dignity in being acknowledged threw action. Not used as just an advertisement tool, like in most cases. I believe that it is possible for Planet Fitness to live threw their values more truly by providing these utilities in a more accessible way. As shown in other locations. I'm not sure why the Aurora location, is so exclusionary. 🤔 Please do better 🙏. Otherwise, I will say again, the employees are great. And the security team is much appreciated 👏 . Thank you

The planet fitness at Aurora is consistently filthy. Used sanitary pads , clumps of hair , nasty floors daily. The locker rooms never get cleaned . Rude staff that is always in a terrible mood. Today Jason had me wait while he was on the phone well over 15 minutes assisting a customer. No problem with that. HOWEVER his attitude after ending the call was extremely disrespectful, he did not apologise for the long wait, and as I am stalking to him he did not look my way at all, he just continued to type away at his computer. I asked him kindly if he could please look at me while addressing me as I find it extremely rude that he is working on the computer and not acknowledging me. I asked if he needs a few more minutes to wrap up, let me know. To which inherently rudely responds that he feels uncomfortable making eye contact with me and that it’s my own problem if I don’t like how he’s addressing me. To which I said , I’ll be back when someone else is willing to assist me. And asked for his name to which he showed me his name tag while making eye contact. Jason is unprofessional, has zero professionalism, and is disrespectful. With and attitude like that he really has no business working front desk. If you want to be disrespected made to feel like you are an inconvenience, and shower in the most unsanitary showers ever, come to this Aurora location

What could be better than a gym that doesn’t allow workouts? Well, how about one with hidden fees literally 200% more than the membership itself? I signed up at $24.99 for the blackcard membership (seems like a good deal, right), and after two months I was hit with several hidden fees that brought my total payments to nearly $65 per month!! Decided to cancel and was charged another $58 termination fee. Never mind the fact that there are NO free weights other than dumbbells (maxed out at 75lbs, mind you), but also no actual workouts are allowed. Don’t break a sweat or they will admonish you. Fantastic. Save your money and your mind, go somewhere, ANYWHERE, else.

I came into this gym in the Summer of 2021 after mask mandates had been lifted. Before I signed up for my membership I mentioned that I did not want to have to wear a mask working out which is why I waited until the mandates were lifted and the main reason for getting the membership was for the personal training. Everything was OK for about the first month and then the mandates came back which I understand is outside of the control of planet fitness. Although This was annoying to me, I was willing to keep my membership so long as I was able to still have the personal training that is offered and advertised as part of the service offered to me with my membership. Not too long after, the personal trainer quit. They have not yet found a replacement but prior to them not finding a replacement, I was told that there would be a replacement And signed up for classes that were virtually nonexistent because when I showed up for the class no one was available for me to train with. This is very frustrating considering that I have to drive 20 minutes To get to this gym. All of this however was not as concerning as the fact that when I wanted to cancel my membership (since there’s no reason for me to come anymore with their not being a trainer and masks being required) the guy told me that I was still going to owe the $44 annual fee (after only 2months) because I needed to cancel seven days before the annual fee was going to be drafted. It was 4 business days away. I understand that these things were in my contract of which was not verbally expressed to me before me signing my contract and I understand that it is my responsibility to look at the details however, if I had not been lied to and jerked around about the personal training I would’ve been able to cancel way before the fee was drafted. So now I am upset because I’ve pretty much paid ($65 and counting) for nothing. And when I asked if I can get a refund for the annual fee (which shouldn’t be called an annual fee by the way if you’re charging it only two months after someone signs up) the assistant manager said no I couldn’t and that I should’ve read my contract better before signing it. And the money isn’t the biggest problem for me here it is the lack of communication and the sheer unprofessionalism that annoys me. If they had simply apologized and given me my annual fee back Or even offered a partial refund, I would’ve been satisfied and would have come back to this gym after the mandates drop again and/or a new personal trainer is on board. Since this isn’t the case and planet fitness seems to rely on shady tactics to squeeze money out of people, I will not be returning to this gym ever in my lifetime. As a professional living in the community who has to deal with people on a daily basis, I am appalled at how they handle their customer relations. It’s a cheap gym and trust me you do get what...

First time going to this location because it's closer to my friend's house. We usually go to my home location but we just discovered this new one and we loved it more. We took two classes together and used their amazing equipment. It was great until I asked for tokens so my friend could join me to unwind at the black card spa, which we normally do at the home location. Not only was I faced with an absolute "no, we can't do that" from the front desk young girl but we were called liars when we mentioned at our home location they give us tokens for my guest. We were told "you are wrong, no location allows guests into the black card spa or massage areas". I explained to her when I got my black membership I read it comes with unlimited guest privileges. If "unlimited" doesn't mean no limits then I am clearly not understanding what unlimited means. She replied I could just go back to my home location. We loved the gym but the policy on this location regarding guests must be different so we are not coming back to this one and I'm telling other people I have gotten signed up on this gym to skip this location.

Update: owner of this franchise at aurora ave: thanks for your reply but it's an empty response. I clearly stated I wasnt coming back so I don't see the reason why telling me "you hope to see me soon" unless you are laughing at me. And second, I was very clear after speaking to your employees that THIS specific location (many other locations do) doesn't value their customers enough to allow their guests to use every facility like it was stated in the contract. I spoke to my home location about this and a couple other locations and all of them in the WA area allow this. It is clear my confusion that yours won't do it. Again, I'm fine with that just please don't reply an empty reply that solves nothing. If there is nothing you can do as an owner then simply don't reply or it sounds like you are mocking your "valued" customers. I'd appreciate that more than your garbage...
