SkinSpirit Seattle - University Village — Attraction in Seattle

I am so disappointed with my experience here. I started getting laser hair removal at the Skin Spirit in Palo Alto, and always had a lovely experience. I moved to Seattle during my treatment so I transferred to the University Village location and was so surprised with the disparities between the two. I never felt welcomed and always felt like I was always getting rushed out. Last year, during what was supposed to be one of my final treatments (turned out to be my last) I had a new technician. During my laser hair removal she said if she didn't turn up the settings I might need more than just two more treatments to follow. I said that was fine because at this point I had already spent thousands for this laser removal and did not mind having a few more treatments to get my desired result. She said she wanted to turn up the settings and I TOLD HER I was nervous about that since they already turned them up last time. She insisted and I said okay because I trusted her. Well it was the most painful experience. Then when I got home I saw I had laser burn marks all over my body. Naturally I freaked out and called my doctor who said they may scar and there's not much I could do about it. I made an appointment to go in and talk to employees at Skin Spirit to get to the bottom of this. They made me wait two weeks to make sure the marks were still there before giving me a complimentary skin lightening cream. I showed the cream to my doctor to ask her if I could use it (since I no longer trusted Skin Spirit) and she advised me not to and said it had very irritating ingredients. I was appalled at how unprofessionally I was being treated and so frustrated because I voiced my concerns before the incident and it all could have been avoided. I spoke to the manager about getting a refund and she began asking me questions about my treatment and said this never happens and the burn marks must have been because I did not properly take care of the area or exposed it to sun. Keep in mind this was like my 8th treatment, I had never had any problems and I always took care of myself properly. They continued to insinuate that it was my fault. I think because I am twenty and look very young they did not take me seriously as a customer. So at the end of it all, I finally got refunded for that one session where I was burned, but I had still poured thousands into this treatment that I never finished. I'm scared to finish it because I am horrified of getting worse or more scars. So now here I am 9 months later; I waited to write this review to see if my scars would go away, and they've faded but they are still here. All of my hair has grown back and I wasted hours of my time and so much money after waiting years to get laser hair removal done, which I was so excited for. Sad to say this was an awful experience and I think you should either go to a different location or a different company...

Here are the facts about my experience getting laser hair removal treatment at SkinSpirit ; I was interested in a full Brazilian bikini and underarms treatment I bought a packages of 5 treatments for each of the areas After the 5 sessions, I got one complementary session + paid for 3 more additional sessions After 9 sessions, my bikini area was nowhere close to being done, my underarms were doing better, but still needed additional sessions I went for a consult to another clinic, since I was getting disappointed with the results. The technician I saw could not believe I had 9 sessions on my bikini (I agree) The other clinic said I need a few more sessions for the underarms (2-3 sessions more, which makes the total sessions (11-12) still considered a lot for underarms), but fore my bikini I need a whole other package (5+ sessions), so basically I am starting from the beginning with the Brazilian bikini area. SkinSpirit used a different system for my underarms vs the bikini area. The system they use is not as effective as other clinics so they keep charging you for each additional session. I paid a total of just below 3 grand to SkinSpirit with minimal results and now I have to pay for an additional Brazilian bikini packages elsewhere I started going to another clinic and started seeing results much quicker I would not recommend this clinic for laser hair removal. Very disappointed with the slow results. Do not waste...

Where to begin…. I see Monica for Botox injections and I could not recommend her more highly. Though small is stature, Monica’s energy could fill a room. She greets you with hugs that feel like catching up with an old friend. I always leave her room feeling like the best version of myself. But I know that experience is not unique to me. Because as I wait for my appointment, I always see her previous patients leave beaming.

Monica is incredibly knowledgeable and happy to answer all my questions about what she does and why she does my injections the way she does. I trust her aesthetic eye and her technical skill to be far above other practitioners in the business.

She is up front about costs and always ready to help prioritize treatments or save additions for the future. You will never be surprised about the cost or thought that goes into your treatment.

My one and only complaint is that a 15 minute appoint never feels long enough. I could spend all afternoon with Monica.

If you are looking for Botox or filler treatments, I could not recommend Monica more highly. You will leave every appointment feeling like your most beautiful self, inside and out. Monica is truly your greatest cheerleader and roots for you in all areas of your life.
