I stopped in a couple months ago to ask about buying some potting soil and a pot. I can't believe this happened, and I honestly want to give a good review because I love garden stores in general, and if people are having a bad day I can give them the benefit of the doubt.

Anyway, it was my first time coming in. I wandered the store first to see if I could find what I needed, but it was pretty specific so I approached the knowledgeable looking person at the front counter. They were doing something at the desk. I walked up to within four feet, facing them and waited patiently.

For literally two minutes I stood directly in front of this person, not wanting to disturb them, but finally said softly, "excuse me?" and waved my hand low down to where their eyes were pointing.

This person didn't even bother to look up. I cleared my throat a bit loudly, still nothing. Keep in mind I was standing 3-4 feet away. At this point I was pretty sure they didn't want me there. I should note that day I was not dressed to the nines, and I had a backpack on (student, using it as a purse) so my instinct was she assumed I didn't have the money to shop there.

I did, but even if I really didn't have money, some basic human respect would have been cool. I felt like a ghost!

I'll give this place one more chance this spring, but man it's gonna be...

Came in the first time just to browse for plants and accessories. While they have a very large selection of plant pots, various accessories, and random other goods (many that smell good), they tend to be very expensive. Displays are visually pleasing and everything they have is adorable (If I could I'd buy everything). I walked away with two plants, one of which was very dry but is doing wonderfully now and the other is also doing wonderfully. Not the greatest variety of houseplants, but they have most of the standards (various pothos, monstera deliciosa and adansonii, some snake plants, I saw one hoya, and a lot of succulents) and they have quite a few outdoor plants. The second time I came in looking for a specific alocasia (type of houseplant) and was told that they believed it would come in with a new plant delivery (Deliveries are on Tuesdays!). I came back on Wednesday and they had a type of alocasia but not the specific one i was looking for. I do wish that the staff was more aware of what types of plants they have in stock/are getting in stock, but understand that they don't!

TLDR; Accessories and pots are very expensive but everything is super cute, Staff is overall helpful, but less helpful about rarer/less known houseplants, Not a super large variety of...

I know almost nothing about plants but had to find some lavender for a client of mine, who just loves the stuff and has a little lavender garden outside her home. So I called and asked if they had any - and they have varieties, and available in different sized containers. So my client is getting two containers of lavender. Really thankful to the rep on the phone who took my call and understood my know-nothingness with such patience. She was so cool. Told me which were flowering already, how much they cost, what was available, etc. She asked if I wanted to reserve any, and I did and will pick them up tomorrow because they are able to hold them for you for 24 hours. (Thank god, I had more work to do today than I expected so I won’t be able to pick them up today like I thought I would). I love it. I’m going to frequent Ravenna Gardens anytime I need plants. And I’ll need some this summer for other clients, and...

I had an amazing experience at Ravenna Gardens! I came in with my own plant that I had questions about and an employee was extremely helpful in better understanding the condition of my plant. Afterwards, I asked them to see plants that took similar care and I was shown around the store and told about a number of plants in the store that fit my request. After selecting a couple of plants I came to the register and was told more about how to care for the plants by the aforementioned associate as well as another employee. If I had the money and the space I would be happy to come back and get more plants and plant care items. They have a wonderful selection of plants, plant care books, and other plant care goods. The store is a beautiful space with a lot of airflow and it's a pleasure to shop there.

Small space brimming with life. You’ll see wall art, air plants, mini myrtle trees, fiddle leafs, ferns, keepsakes, pots, soil, moss and much more. They have multiple varieties at different growth stages making it easier to adorn a porch or foyer to a coffee table or wall shelf. Air plants for the bathroom anyone? They are knowledgeable and during Covid-19 have held up guidelines keeping customers safe. From the lush green, ombré pots, hanging plants to the hummingbirds that come by to take a drink. For a small space, Ravenna gardens has every nook and corner full of delights. For a housewarming, homecoming, new beginning or birthday you will be grateful and a little more green after you’ve gone.

This is the worst gardening shop I had ever. I bought nearly 100 dollars of Olive tree in the end of September 2023. Before I decided to make the decision to buy it or not because I doubt if it can make it during winter time. So I asked the staff. They told me the Olive can survive the winter in Northwest area, They guaranteed Olive will live. But it was not, it didn’t make it. I live in Vancouver WA. That is warmer than Seattle area. I wrote to customer manager. They said they don’t provide any refund or replace. Instead they want to buy another Olive tree. It is not honest to do business in thi way. So awful experience !
