Poor experience from beginning to end. I will not be returning to any Kent location for product or “service” based on my purchase experience and now the service experience . If you use their service department make sure you take plenty of notes and continually follow up as their tracking processes are lacking. I dropped my 2 brand new jet skis off in June due to a recall. My family had used our skis once. I requested that they complete the recall, repair body damage (due to one of the kids coming to close to another on their ski the first time out) , I also asked they check the trailer ball mount as it was difficult to remove from the hitch- and to repair a bunk on the trailer that was not bolted down all the way when I first received my brand new skis. I was told that the ball mount might just be a little hard “ for me” and I might not be “doing it right” until the service rep had the same issue and had to pry it off the ball. Add condescending to the list of services. Needless to say…. There were some work to do…. The Kent rep told me not to expect the skis back befor July 4th. I just picked my skis up this weekend. Kent has technically had them over 6 months. I would call and only one of the service representatives seemed to know what was going on with them. The same rep that handled the intake. After multiple calls and delays the service ticket escalated to their boss, Ron. He facilitated the units repair to their completion. He did a PM free of charge due to the delay. I picked them up Saturday…. I paid my invoice never to see Ron again- my nice new $500 Yamaha covers (which I purchased there) had oil and debris all over them. There were hand and foot prints on the skis from grease/oil. The skis were filthy-and my light cord needs to be replaced. Irony, they asked my to follow them on Instagram and they send out these requests for reviews the same day I picked up my skis! WOW! There is so much more to this story, but all I can say is “stay away”. Probably the worst service I have ever received. (It wouldn’t let me post with 0 stars). So the star goes to Shamus who helped me with my skis as I left….. the other service team members ( including Ron) never came out of...
Read moreI just purchased a Honda Pioneer 700 4 from Kent Powersports in Selma Tx. This was my first experience working with them specifically, however I have purchased Honda motorcycles and other Honda ATV's and UTVs from other dealerships. This experience was distinctly better in so many ways. First and foremost, Drake is a name you want to remember. He was our salesman, whom I initially met on the phone. When I informed him of what I was looking for and that I had found a deal at a dealership about four hours away that was literally thousands less (14 to 28% less) than any other dealership and sent him the documentation- within an hour he had gotten the store manager to match the price, including my agricultural exemption- and there was no attempt to add on "things" to increase my "out the door" cost. When I went to pick up the vehicle, which Drake had arranged to get to their location in one business day- it was good to go within hours. Drake consistently kept me updated and let me know when to show up. That is when I met him for the first time personally. He clearly is now the person I would go to anytime in the future. I also found everyone else I met there, including Mr. De Coss in finance, Jason it the parts shop and Ashley who finalized the paperwork all top shelf and the entire process took about 1 hour. As I was so impressed with these folks, I asked each how long they had worked for Kent Powersports. The it ranged from 7 to 15 years. My observation is this serves as a good proxy of a good business and business culture, which is ever more hard to find. More often it seems to be in the one quick sale vs creating long term relationships with their customers or employees. So refreshing to deal with these folks. Pam and...
Read moreVery friendly and professional service staff. I Went into the dealership to purchase coolant for my Suzuki King Quad and after having a detailed conversation with Ron, the Service Manager, I decided to bring it in and have them flush the coolant and the hydraulic fluids instead (it had been sitting in the weather for more than a year). I had been told that the service on the Quad would take approximately two hours (1 hour for each system) and that he could get me in first thing Saturday morning and I could either wait for it, or drop it off and pick it up later. As I had a lot scheduled for Saturday and had to rent a trailer to haul the thing to and from the dealership, I elected to wait while the service was performed. I arrived about 15 minutes early and they quickly helped me unload the Quad and took it in immediately. There was a huge lot adjacent to the dealership, that made parking the the truck and trailer convenient. I had a couple cups of coffee while looking around the dealership, at the different bikes and accessories. After about two hours, I received a call telling me the work was complete and that the Quad was ready. They helped me load it back onto the trailer but when I tried to leave, my truck wouldn't start. Matt, one of the Service Reps grabbed a jump pack but it didn'thave enough cranking amps. He then used his personal truck, to jump mine. With their help I was able to get home, drop off the Quad, and get the trailer back to the rental place before 1 pm, saving me a multi-day rental. I am taking the time, to write this ridiculously detailed review, in order to express my gratitude and appreciation for their excellent work and exceptional...
