I used to love this shop until today. I brought in about $500+ (retail price) of craft and sewing items in 3 huge boxes... Including a new unused $300 quilting machine with around $100 of accessories purchased separately, including the manual since I never used it. I was offered an insulting $15 for EVERYTHING! That $300 new quilting machine (NOT a sewing machine!) was only valued at a couple bucks by the staff here! I was not expecting much of course, as I do consignment often and I've worked in consignment but WOW! I can't support a business that takes advantage of their own customers to this extent. It's a shame because this business idea is great-- if the customers were respected and valued. I brought in my craft and sewing things because I've been given an end stage diagnosis and thought that I would feel good sharing my things before I'm gone while also helping pay medical bills but I just left even more upset and with more things...
Read moreI had the pleasure of visiting Bottom of the Bin for the first time today. I’ve been following the unbinning series that has been posted on Facebook and YouTube. My curiosity finally got the best of me. I’m in the Tampa Bay Area, but since it’s still about an hour ride for me, so I hoped that the products available were worth the trip. I wasn’t disappointed. There is something for everyone in the store. Do you need yarn? Fabric? Jewelry making supplies? Scrapbooking or card making paper or cardstock? Paper punches or stamps? Ink? Markers? Paints? What an eclectic and organized store! The staff is friendly and helpful, the variety of products are plentiful, the quality is very good and the prices are low. Had I brought unused supplies of my own, I could have traded them for store credit. The mission of Bottom of the Bin seems to be to put affordable art supplies into the hands of those who need and appreciate them. I think they have...
Read moreSuch a wonderful place, sincerely. As an avid crafter (with limited funds), this place allows me to keep my creativity flowing and my positive energy up even when things are rough. Do you need a set of knitting needles? Get a par for 50c. Have some random desire to stamp something? Choose from a big bin for a bargain! Scrapbookers, you can stop praying because this is your heaven🪽 itching to try some stitching? They have oodles of fabrics for your choosing. This isn’t a paid anything, just my opinion as someone who can truly appreciate and wants to share the little glimmers that shine through it all 💖
All of the fabric as well as many of the other materials were all found at Bottom of the Bin. (I was given an incomplete DIY kit, but I’ve almost Done It Myself)
