The Senoia Area Historical Society Museum is located in Senoia, 30 minutes east of Newnan.
Its atrium and five rooms have been filled with antique pieces of furniture in dark hardwoods, and cabinets filled with mementos that help visitors discover life in Senoia over the ages.
Surrounded by original plasterwork mouldings, the dedicated History Room contains teller windows from the Farmers and Merchants Bank that date to 1874.

Read moreWe were able to go on a Sunday so we were happy they were open. This was a great museum to go to learn about the history of Senoia. I will admit we came to the museum hoping to see a lot of Walking dead show props but they only have a few here but you are able to see Negan’s bat which is pretty cool. Admission was free so it was a lot of fun also seeing the other film memorabilia from movies that were filmed here that we weren’t aware of such as Fried Green Tomato’s. Will definitely be back!
