Main Street Fudge & Ice Cream Shop — Restaurant in Senoia

So apparently, you are prohibited from going into the Main Street Fudge and Ice Cream Shop in Senoia to EAT ice cream with your granddaughter without wearing a mask! Where are we?! California?!

We immediately left for two reasons, the rudeness of being fussed at while I still had one foot outside of the door and the absurdity of having to wear a face mask in a place that only serves food.

I work in a hospital and I understand wearing a mask. I wore one more than 8 hours today at work and then again while grocery shopping at Kroger. We ate and had a great experience at Matt's Small Town Pizza (Paige was our wonderful server), without having to wear a mask in an eating establishment.

Needless to say, we understand why the ice cream/fudge shop was completely empty in a town that was crowded with people walking on Main Street.

From the moment we walked in the shop had a funny smell, perhaps they're having plumbing issues? The decor is cute and for the most part the shop is clean. The ice cream isn't that great, honestly, a little below mediocre; Haagen Daz is better. But the reason I'm giving this shop 2 stars is because of the flies! My goodness there had to be about 6 flies flying around the sitting area were we sitting. We, especially our children, (both toddlers) couldn't even sit in peace without being attacked by these pests! But what made me even more annoyed was that fact the lady behind the counter said/tried nothing to resolve this issue. She was the least concerned that my children were screaming "get away from me fly!!!!!!" every second. So we left and finished our ice cream outside.

This place is AMAZING 🤤 I have visited before, and will return again. I was in town briefly & knew that I needed to bring some goodies home with me. I placed a large special order & they had it ready for me when promised. The icing shots are so ridiculously yummy. Of course, we also had to bring home cupcakes, and a little bit of fudge. And, I mean it IS an ice cream shop..so we had to have some ice cream while we placed our order. Thank you to the wonderful family that runs this shop.
