Holden Beach Jet Ski Rentals — Attraction in Shallotte

Called the day before and made a reservation for 10am. Planned to go out for 2 hours but they penciled us in for 1 without asking.

$205 for 2 skis for 1 hour is fair. They advertise a 15 mile radius but when you get there paid up and, sitting on the ski they tell you it is a no wake zone one direction and advise to you go the other way unless you want to idle for 20 min out then another 20 min in. So you natrually go down the suggested route. In the end all the room you have to enjoy the ski in is 100 yards wide and a few miles long, not to mention you get a vibe while riding that every resident on the waterway hates you because you are the 100th ski renter to come by their house in the past 24 hours.

The skis are 2020 and well kept. But they are tuned down and only run about 30 mph and have no "go" in them. They turn the speedo to Km/h to make it appear you're tearing through the intercostal waterway much quicker.

Last but not least we left the dock around 1020 for a 10:00 booking. We arrived at 10 but after all the paper work and safety briefing 30% of our time was wasted. So essentially its $100 for 40 min not 1 hour.

Will not return here, but also feel this is the norm for all jet...

I handle Customer Service reviews for a National Company and can be quite picky about Customer Service. I have been blown away with the service we have received today. This company has the capability for customers to reserve and pay for jet ski rentals a head of time which saved us a lot of time when we arrived. We had minimal paperwork to complete when we checked in due to booking and paying online. I loved that the guys gave thorough Instructions to everyone in the jet skis, mentioned different avenues they may find themselves in while out of the water. They also focused heavily on restrictions in this area, which will only help keep my kiddos safe on this busy Labor Day weekend. Safety was obviously their #1 concern! The staff and the owner continued to express thanks for choosing their small business. Great fun, great customer service, wonderful manners, and smiles were plentiful during our jet ski excursion! We have used several different jet ski rental business in the area over the last 10 years but will absolutely be back to rent again from this business! Great Job today guys! If it had an option for a 6th star, this would be a 6 star review lol. The gentleman that help us was a G named Sterlin. Sterlin has to be one of the most professional, down to earth, kind, informative and funny guys I've ever had the pleasure of doing business with. The Jet skis are in very nice shape and they are fun. Sterlin guided us through the paper work and answered any questions we had. He then guided us to the Jet Skis and explained everything from Safety to Operating the Jet Ski.
