Ocean Boulevard Coffee — Restaurant in Holden Beach

For years, this has been one of my favorite places to grab some good coffee. I live just a couple hours away & we come here several times a year. This year, our first day in town, I was so excited to go grab a great cup of coffee at my favorite shop. I'll never go back again. The man taking orders, which I assume had some type of ownership status because I've seen him there for years, was extremely rude & off-putting. I tried my best to be polite, but he didn't make it easy. This bothered me all day because I always look forward to going here on my visits. Luckily, for all of us who've had to be exposed to this man's rude, & unsettling "customer service", they are NOT the only good coffee shop in the area!

This was a unique little place! The Pina Coloda Smoothie was so delightful that I had two! My hubby had a Mocha fixed hot, but couldn't resist trying the Strawberry Banana Smoothie also. There was a laid back, easy going vibe here. There was beachy merchandise all around. The sunny seating area inside was perfect and unique. The coffee shop offers coffee, smoothies and food. The pick up window is outside so you have to circle back to pop a squat. They are animal friendly and advocate in one of their indoor setups. They even have a waterbowl set up outside. I would have rated a five for the coffee was delicious, however there was a gentleman who was serving my coffee was a bit rude to me about my 1 year old pulling his mask off.

He told me that I can't take my child in with me to the coffee shop if he does not wear a mask and "if I cared for his safety I'd have to be a better mom and make him wear a mask"
