Preppy Pet Worthington — Attraction in Sharon Township

I’ve been dropping my boy, Boba Fetch off at Preppy Pet for occasional doggy day care and boarding for around 4-5years and he LOVES it there.

The owner, Pia, and her staff are incredible and without a doubt true animal LOVERS! I trust Preppy Pet with my fur-kid and highly, highly recommend anyone to do the same. Their pricing is extremely fair, but it was how responsive, kind, and compassionate Pia and her staff are that won us over.

When my husband and I were initially looking for places that could provide overnight stay, I contacted multiple daycares/borders via email. The research on the “it” place was taken very seriously. Pia was responsive to my interview-style emails in such a thorough and kind way and truly came across(and is) compassionate. Her response in comparison to others seemed utmost genuine.

I took my pet Bombon, a very sweet and gentle maltese to get groomed by Brianna two days ago. I really wanted to like this place and make the 25 minute drive (one way) worth it because they have amazing customer service until I got to experience their service. I was quoted over the phone for grooming starting at 45 and all the way up to 65, he said that it was based on pet behavior, well the staff kept saying how sweet my dog was and within 3 hours he was ready to go. Upon arrival I was charged 65 and lady upfront started explaining that the new guy gave me wrong information and that he should've never quoted me that, ok no big deal I paid without any issues. Later that day I noticed my dog looked very uncomfortable and shaking, then started excessively licking rectum area, when I check he had a pretty bad clipper burn caused by the groomer, hospital closed at this time and he stayed like this all night. Next morning he was seen by his veterinarian and confirmed it was a clipper burn, now he in pain, wearing an ecollar and taking pain/antiflammotory medication. And of course a veterinarian...

Best dog daycare that I have put my german shepherd dog mando in! The owner/manager Pia is so great to deal with. There have been multiple times where I have called her same day to get my dog in because we made last-minute plans including this weekend. She always did her best to accommodate us as much as possible and was able to get us in literally within one hour notice. I’m not trying to say that she will be able to do that for everybody in the future but the fact that she goes that extra mile to try and is so receptive says a lot. Mando loves going there for both daycare and boarding and comes back home happily tired! The staff really care about the dogs and the little videos they send are cute and amazing.
