Sky Zone Trampoline Park — Attraction in Shawnee

Had a birthday party here for 2 of my children on 12/16/23. I was less than impressed with the entire setup. I purchased the the platinum party package. It is supposed to come with 2 pizzas, drinks, an hour of jump time and 40 minutes of a private party room, free tshirt for the guest of honor( I bought a second one since it was a party for 2) and goody bags for the guests, a party host(who is set up your room if you have decorations and clean up so you can enjoy the party) etc Firstly, when we got there to check in the employees up front ignored us. To be fair it is mostly teenagers so I took it with a grain of salt. We get checked in. Secondly, When it’s time to get to the party room I start decorating to get everything together. The employees don’t offer to help set up at all and leave. I continue setting up.15 minutes go by the employees come back in and I ask them to help me , they did for about 5 minutes when another employee comes in and tells us we’ve been put in the wrong party room. So we start moving our things and the guests things to another room. When we get it all moved and I start decorating a second room they come back in and say it has happened again and moved us to the third room. We get to the last room and I start decorating and setting up for a third time. The party host walks in then and apologizes he’s been finishing up with another party. We end up being rushed the rest of the time even though I spent at least half being moved around and redecorating with no help setting up. I missed the majority my kids party and wasn’t even able to play with them. Thirdly, We did not receive the goody bags or shirts that were apart of the package and that I bought separately. It was honestly all so very disappointing. The host gave $50 off our total which honestly was not much since it’s a pretty pricey package. however, I was willing to pay so I could enjoy my kids party without setting up and cleaning up (which did not happen) I finished and paid bc I did not want to draw attention with my unhappiness bc I didn’t want my kids to think anything was wrong on their birthday. I called and spoke to the manager the next day. He says he’d have to reach out to his supervisor and get back to me. A few hours later an employee called on his behalf to tell me they cannot offer anything besides a few jump passes, goody bags and tshirts that I had already paid for which were never given to us there day of. All this to say that that it is a 40 minute drive I have yet to make. It was a very expensive party and they did not meet the expectations that they’ve set on their site. Terrible staffing. When I first arrived, there was only one person working the counter. I waited in line for a long time. When I finally got to the register, I was told to go to the computer to fill a waiver out, which was fine but I wasted about 20 minutes in line already when I could have been filling the waiver out if I only knew that I had to. Wasted time. After I filled the waiver out, the worker disappeared and I had to wait at least 10 more minutes for someone else to show up. When she did, I was confused why she charged me full price when I came in for the New Years $20.22 special. She told me that it didn’t include glow party. I pulled up and email I received from sky zone that said glow party was included and she then refunded me the difference. After that, I went to go order French fries. Again I had to wait a while for an employee to come to the counter. After I ordered, I was given a buzzer remote to let me know when my fries were ready. After waiting for 40 minutes I returned to the counter to see why I still haven’t received my fries. No one was there. I saw the same employee receiving her own food from a food delivery service. Her and a bunch of her teen friends that didn’t even work there were going behind the counter into a break room of some sort. Ignoring the line of people at the concessions. When she finally came to the register, I asked about my fries. She went in the back to check. When she came back, she said the “chef” put food in the oven and just went home so all the food was burnt. I just asked for my money back. The manager came over and the employee told her what happened. No apologies were given to me, no offers of different food or remaking the fries were made to me. Manager didn’t even speak to me. Last Sunday, during Toddler Time, my friend threw a birthday party for her daughter at Sky Zone in Shawnee. I had looked at Sky Zone previously as a possible venue to host for our child, and to jump during Toddler Time, and although my heart hurts for my friend, I am glad I was able to experience this disaster firsthand to advice all of you to steer clear. I am not sure if this particular Sunday the B Team was working or, if this is how all their events go, but what a joke.

The room was cheaply assembled for the price you are paying, and I am not sure who the “party host” assigned to our room was, as I rarely saw anyone, but that person needs demoted – stat. We had to ask more than three times to get extra napkins, for a party that involved toddlers! It was around 30-50 mins past the start of the party before any drinks or snacks had arrived. Those should be in the room prior to guest arrival. Pizza does not come included, but was ordered by the host. It arrived slowly, and way too hot for small children. The drinks were refilled once, maybe. Keeping in mind the long delay in getting them from the start. And one of the other guests found scissors in plain accessibility of toddlers (by a sign out by the front door), that the birthday child was reaching for.

The whole thing was disorganized, sloppy, and they were late bringing the cake and cupcakes out which resulted in a rush to leave on time. This place was not worth half of what they are charging.
