Upon my arrival, I was warmly greeted by Cynthia at the reception desk, who efficiently assisted me with my appointment and provided a guest tag. This personal touch continued as Theresa then gave me a comprehensive tour of the entire facility, showcasing the inviting restaurant, the comfortable movie theatre, a selection of resident rooms with their various floorplans, and the beautiful outdoor patio. Throughout the tour, Theresa thoroughly reviewed all the pertinent information with me and provided an informative folder to take home. As a testament to their hospitality, I was also graciously invited to return with my mother for a complimentary meal and a personalized tour for her to experience the place firsthand.

What strikes you instantly is the incredibly home-like feeling throughout the entire facility. The staff members are genuinely nice and welcoming, always ready with a greeting at the front, making both residents and visitors feel valued and comfortable.

“The Kensington” boasts a remarkable array of amenities and services designed to enrich the lives of its residents. From the convenience of an on-site salon, ensuring residents can always look and feel their best, to the reassurance of medical assistance available whenever needed, every detail seems to be thoughtfully covered. Life here is far from sedentary, with exciting field trips offered once a week, providing wonderful opportunities for exploration and social engagement. For entertainment closer to home, there's a charming movie theatre where residents can enjoy films in a cozy setting.

Outdoor spaces are equally inviting. The beautiful outdoor patio, complete with dining options, offers a serene environment to relax, socialize, and enjoy the lovely Sierra Madre weather.

I am profoundly grateful to The Kensington for truly caring, loving and being diligent about the details! My Mother-In-Law has lived here for three years. We feel totally supported at every level! From the front Concierge to Housekeeping, Maintenance, Clerical & Dining to the most intense Direct Care and Nursing issues: the quality here is beyond excellent! Every last staff member makes visiting an uplifting experience. There is so much heart here! - And always something interesting to do!

I love to visit! I feel truly welcomed, involved, needed, respected and, yes, loved and appreciated. I know my smallest concerns are heard and responded to. As something of a connoisseur of Elder Support environs (from experience), I am constantly sharing that the Kensington far outshines anywhere I’ve encountered; and meets all my best hopes.

It is clear that The Partners who created this model of care in our community (and in others) understands front-line care.This is evident in the respect and support I see being shared all around with staff, with ongoing trainings and an excellent level of staffing! The Founding Partners visit regularly, and I have met them during my random visits. It feels that there must be a work model and hiring agenda which bring these wonderful people in and encourages them to share their individual presence and skills in whichever capacity they are employed.

I must offer a Shout-Out to Memory Care and Nursing Staff! I spend a lot of time here since my M.I.L. moved to the Connections “Neighborhood”, two years ago. We thought the transition from the Assisted Living “Neighborhood” might be a challenge for her. Leandra made it truly magical and easy! That was just the awesome start of her transformation into a new level of relaxation and pleasant contentment she’s enjoyed here, as all her needs are lovingly met in a timely manner and with respect for her abilities. Leandra, Julie, Matt, Martha … Just everyone, seems to always have the attention you need to inform, or process, or get an update.

We are at peace to sleep at night, and even go on vacation, because we know absolutely that My M.I.L. is in the capable, nurturing, stimulating, respectful & loving arms of people who really do care about her and have made great effort to know her, and know us!
