Sierra Madre Pizza Company — Restaurant in Sierra Madre

I have mixed feelings about this place.

The good - I enjoy getting a slice of pizza or their meatball sub sandwich. Good stuff!

The problem - sometimes I get a warm friendly feeling from the staff, while other times I feel like I'm a nuisance. It can range from a 1 to a 5, which isn't good. It sounds crazy, but I prefer consistency, so a consistent 3 would be better for me.

The atmosphere isn't good. It's primarily a take out place, so I get it. There are a few tables out front - that's okay if the weather is good.

Pre-pandemic, I'd eat inside or outside. Since the pandemic, they've taken the inside tables away.

Also, the soda machine is gone. Not terrible, but now I have to buy a can or bottle of Coke. Maybe two if I'm thirsty.

One final complaint. About a year ago, I came by to order a couple slices of pizza an a coke. The young man was about to take my order, then someone in back told him he couldn't, because I missed the cutoff time! I wound up ordering a calzone, which didn't hit the spot - too bready for me.

I met the owner at the post office about a year ago. I told him I have been a customer for a while, but I don't like the inconsistent attitude from his staff. He asked me to give them another chance.

I eat here about once a month. I get to sit out front and enjoy a nice sunny day +...

Super friendly staff and a pretty cool place. Outside dining is also a big plus. I ordered thin and crispy, and they got it perfect. Dough wasn't my favorite but I am sure it's really good for American eaters. I am just used to different feom Europe. But, I have to say that dough wasn't bad. Just not too much my style. I wish they would get a better quality cheese for their pizza and tomatoes sauce could also use a little bit better ingredients. Over all I enjoyed the pizza and place. Definitely will be back. I wish I could assist this place to tweak a few thing. Because if a few small improvements get done to pizza it will be one heck of a mountain of deliciousness. Overall, Definitely good pizza and staff....

I went in for a very special police officers birthday wish...a Sierra Madre Pizza Company gift certificate.. (Sun March 24th, 1230pm ish) was told by the young lady at the order counter - "we're out right now" .. bummer, I asked if there was anyway we could cone up with something to give him a credit. - NO. I asked when they'd have them. She said - maybe tommorow, maybe next week, she obviously could care less. Guess I'll have to go to another pizza place that cares about...
