I kept hearing from friends and coworkers that I needed to check out Discount Furniture Warehouse because they, or someone they knew, had gotten their furniture there and had a great experience. But, unfortunately that wasnât the experience that I had. I walked in to find just a few pieces of furniture in the showroom, which was really surprising. I approached the woman at the counter and expressed my surprise, and she said most of their stuff gets sold as soon as it comes in, so they never really have much. I had two approvals through finance companies that claimed to do business with them, so when I asked about the first (Snap Finance), the woman said, âWe donât do business with them anymore. Just shows you how stupid they are to have our information still on their site.â That took me by surprise, but I asked about Ăcima, which is on their webpage. She said yes, they accept it. So I asked if she had a catalog, she said the website is the catalog and mumbled something about the computer that didnât register. I then asked about the process to order furniture, what the delivery cost is, and how long it takes to get the furniture. She said their delivery is free, if you live in town, and it usually takes a couple weeks to get pieces in. So, I said Iâd like to order some things and started to pull up their website on my phone. Thatâs when she hit me with, âThe order process goes like this - you decide what you want, then you put down a nonrefundable 25% deposit, and then when your things come in we charge Ăcima.â This goes against what the Ăcima process promises: when you place an order using Ăcima, you pay the first finance payment, and then your payments come out after delivery of the goods. I ended up leaving, because I wouldnât need Ăcima if I had cash just laying around for a hefty deposit like that. This place just seemed shady and the woman behind the counter was just plain snotty with me. I didnât appreciate it, and so another company...
Read moreThis is the worst customer service I have ever received. My wife and I were looking for a living room set with our 5 year old daughter and every question we asked seem to upset the owner/employee. She just seemed irritated to be at work and irritated that we had questions. I called the store after initially posting this review to let her know how I felt about the customer service I had received. She not only defended her customer service but told me I didn't discipline my daughter quick enough for her. Then she told me that my wife and I were rude and disrespectful to her and her business. I was willing to apologize for the way my daughter was acting and I would have pulled the review if she had shown she could be civil. She insulted my wife, my daughter and our method of discipline multiple times over the phone. I never raised my voice, I didn't curse at her nor did I speak to her in a disrespectful manner. She spoke to me like I was beneath her and like I was wrong for calling her to let her know I was not satisfied with the service I received. The owner has way to much pride in her store and herself to admit when she was in the wrong. Even if they have better prices I'll gladly shop else where in order to be treated like I'm valued as a customer. I also won't be sending them...
Read moreMy family and I were all set to buy a coffee table, end tables, and looking at a couch. My husband asked about any sales, and the associate said "you mean gimmicks or sales" and my husband said he was wondering if the set we were looking at was on sale. She very rudely said "Are you trying to tell me it's cheaper some place else?" My husband said I don't know, not trying to argue, just asking about any sales. She didn't respond initially, just stood there staring at us shrugging her shoulders. I was just thinking wow how rude! As we started to leave, my husband told her we were so close to buying the set, and she said "well I'm sorry sir, you just asked the wrong question." Really!? I guess I should have known, since we were in the store the day before, looked though The whole store, and not one employee spoke with us. There was only one other customer in the store. The customer service is terrible here, either you're completely ignored, or...
