My boyfriend and I are here on Thanksgiving and we came back tonight cause the food was really good! I'm only giving 4 stars for a couple reasons that I think the restaurant could easily correct and make this a five star experience which I hope they do because I want them to stay open! Good food is hard to find sometimes. The first reason is the misleading food name. They have something called crab pots, like crab ragoons. I LOVE crab ragoons so I was super excited for this. Got a couple bites in and realized something was missing. Opened one up, and no crab. I'm even happy with fake crab, still delicious, but this had no crab. So I asked the server and she checked with the chef who confirmed it's just cheese. If I knew they were just cheese I wouldn't have ordered it. 9$ is way to much for that. Toys egg rolls sells the same thing but called them cream cheese puffs and they are 3 for $1 last time I was there. It's not only misleading and unprofessional, its illegal to mislabel food like this, at least according to the Internet so I could be wrong. The next minor thing is that the meals show up before the appetizers, which didn't bother me the first time cause both my boyfriend and mines food came out at the same time, but this time they delivered just my boyfriends food first and nothing else. This is just a pet peeve of mine since I worked in the industry for years when I was younger and you always deliver all the meals together. It's awkward to do it any other way leaving someone either not eating, or having to share the food. The last thing I would say is, as mentioned in a previous review, you can tell when there is a different check on duty for sure. First time I went there, the first noodles were SUPER garlicy, and I absolutely loved it, that's what brought us back was unwanted garlicy noodles like I had the first time, this time they weren't garlic at all. Still good, but not good enough for me to come back for. If they could get more consistent with their food, it would help for sure. Our server was super nice and attentive and positive, even with my minor issues we really enjoyed the food and luckily my boyfriend doesn't mind sharing and his food was really good too. I really love their...
Read moreLet me start this review by saying our waitress was very nice and very attentive. But that is where the compliments end. This was, by far, the worst Asian food that we have ever eaten. And I mean ever! My daughter and I shared the sesame chicken and it was soaked in what seemed like bright pink sweet and sour sauce and maybe 15 sesame seeds. We had a total of 10 pieces of little tiny chunks of chicken and four broccoli florets that were ice cold and raw. We also ordered the green onion pancakes and they were mediocre. I'm not really sure what they're supposed to look like or taste like but they did not have hardly any green onion in them, just little tiny pieces. The food is very expensive for the portions. Usually we can get two or even three meals out of a plate of Asian food and this we could barely get one serving if that! This is truly the worst food we've ever eaten in Sierra Vista aside from Wendy's. Which was/is worse! Please Oriental Express change that sauce because there was other patron sitting close to us that we're also disgusted by their food and so we know that there are a lot of unsatisfied customers. Make the food authentic and not use jar or canned sauces. You could have a good crowd here but you have to update your menu. And please add a little bit more to your portions for that price. If you want to keep the portions the same then lower your prices it's too expensive for 10 tiny chunks of chicken and Jell-O sauce spread all over with 10 sesame seeds. Also you might consider new menus as we receive menus with multiple price changes, crossed out pictures, crossed out items, and huge price jumps for catering services up to almost double. It doesn't look good to hand out menus like that. I know you're a new business just opening up and trying to start but you only get one chance, usually, to make a good first impression. We won't be back, I don't think! It's sad because we really wanted this to be a good restaurant in Sierra Vista. God knows we need...
Read moreI dined here with my wife on a Thursday afternoon and I unfortunately won't be returning.
First of all, the food tasted good, the portion size was good, and the prices were fair.
My problem is with the service and the young girl who waited on us who just clearly does not have a lot of experience in the industry.
Never before at a restaurant have I received my water before the menu. My wife and I had to look up the menu online in the meantime.
My wife received her food 5 minutes before me.
Only just a few minutes after receiving both of our plates, we got the bill... this was a record amount of time that I received the check after getting my food. I had only taken a few bites and was expected to pay.
Never once did the waitress initiate filling our water glasses, with an empty glass I had to request water every time.
The waitress was approaching our table one time and I got excited I thought she might be coming to fill my water, but actually she was coming to see if we needed to-go boxes. I looked down at my plate and wasn't even halfway done. I wasn't sure and I had to guess if I would be finished with my plate 20 minutes from then and she did not seem thrilled with a lack of a clear cut answer.
The waitress seeming impatient, came to our table to take the paid receipt but I stopped her, saying that I had not had the time to get to filling it out. I expected her to leave and come back to give me time to fill it out, but instead she stood there and waited for me to fill out the receipt with the tip. I felt very uncomfortable as she hovered over me as I filled out her tip.
The waitress appeared to be gone once we finished our meal. Perhaps her shift was up and she was trying to leave which could explain why she rushed us from the moment we sat down. But that was never communicated and that's not our problem. Her rushing and ushering us every step of the way made for a highly...
