I love thrifting and have been shopping here for the past 4-5 years, but within the last 2 1/2, I have been having bad experiences. Mostly almost everything being over priced, how the workers are treating people and how the main boss treats people. Also I have watched many others be treated terribly the times I have gone. Today I choose to boycott them from my thrifting due to how they treated me and the customers in front of me. I asked how much something was and they said it wasn’t for sale. I said okay. 😊 Started to walk away. Then as Im walking away with the person I had with me, they sarcastically said what a bunch of genius’s. 😞 Like wow. That was rude. But I let it pass and kept shopping. Found an Item I liked and it was 25% off and turns out didn’t have all the parts. Sometimes thats expected but for the item being small and it being used, but should have been cheaper. I could’ve gotten the item from Walmart brand new for $20 bucks. 🤦🏻♀️ Instead I spent $ on something I had to tape together to get to work. 😞 I would have taken it back, but I would have only got an in store purchase receipt and it’s not worth it in my opinion if I am going to be treated poorly again. 😕 The couple that was in front of me was buying a bunch of stuff and the lady asked if she could ask the boss if she could get something cheaper. It was a pogo stick. They wanted $20 for a used pogo stick! 🤭🤣 So not worth it and even the customer said it’s not worth it. Especially it being used and dinged up. The lady said no to her about trying to talk to her boss and get it cheaper. So the customer in front of me said then I don’t want it. Very understandable. 🤷🏻♀️ Costumer asked who has been pricing lately?? The lady checking her out said my Boss all rude! Mind you this lady was being polite. The customer asked one more time if she could go talk to her boss and ask for it to be at least $10. She said sure and grabs the stick and leaves to go talk to her boss. Comes back and said yes. So the customer had her take a few things off for the pogo stick. The lady checking out everyone, was definitely not happy about having to take 2-3 items off.
All in all. I don’t recommend this place one bit. It’s a thrift store and you shouldn’t be paying almost store prices for items that are used or broken. Along with the Rude customer service, Rude manager, and over priced....
Read moreI remember 6-7 years ago new Management joined the thrift store and he got the place in ship shape condition. What happened to him? The store has nice items, sometimes overpriced, nevertheless the outside area looks like a trash bin! It's a shame! I was wanting something from outside and couldn't even get the cart thru the pathway. Everything is literally 'thrown' out there and isn't appealing to look at, let alone to want to buy, yet there are great items outside. Sales would increase if that area was organized and perhaps is missing a female's touch of organization. SVDP is my favorite thrift store...... Yet it really looks ...
Read moreCertainly a great place for those in need to get food, etc., but there are not enough younger people working there. Many volunteers (as well as customers) are not capable of carrying heavy things, or tall enough to reach certain things, etc. And no offense to these people, but there's only like...ONE person over there who is able to do all that!
I encourage whoever reads this...if you know anyone from a younger crowd who is also capable of doing everything mentioned in the above, please send them to this food bank!
The...
