The set up is nice but there are many issues with this property.- including vandalism, while security is out patrolling..Wifi infrastructure needs redone- rarely ever works. Barely any guest parking spots- which is a problem because first year leasers can only take out a parking pass for 3 days or you will get charged $25. Maintenances will walk in whenever during inspection weeks without warning- yes they tell you maintenance is doing inspections but you are not given a time or day. Inspections are at least once a month( and they wonder why people don't want to resign)- well when maintenance walks into your apartment every week unannounced it gets pretty irritating when you're laying in bed without clothing and they continue to come in and look around?! This was very uncomfortable, there is no privacy. Roads are never plowed. I've seen many cars get towed and booted- very quickly. The entire interior was junk and all the wooden furniture is scratched and stained. It is very poorly insulated- the thermostat stays at 67 and the heat bill is over $120 each month. The down stairs living space needs space heaters because it doesn't warm up- this goes for all apartments. The door nob is broken on the entrance door and sticks (it needs replaced) maintenance has been called 2 times due to the knob not latching and the door blows opened. They continue to not fix it or even address the...
Read moreIf you have friends and family that want to visit you for the day or for the weekend, you might as well forget it. They only have 30 visitor parking spaces for 400 tenants. The visitor parking spots are always full. If your guest parks in a spot that's not marked visitor parking, they will boot the car which costs $150 to get it off. When asked what to do when the visitor parking spots were full they told us to have guests park at giant eagle or on SRU's campus and for us to go pick them up. How convenient right? I'm sure giant eagle appreciates that. Parking was always free before this new management came in. We had to pay 35$ for a parking pass, and I'm not quite sure why. We were told by previous management there was going to be a guest parking lot built, but that hasn't happened. Called the office to see if they would consider new guest parking options, but they didn't seem to worry or care about it. They are also charging you $10 a night for visitor parking for homecoming weekend. The rates per month for rent are going up as well. Used to pay $399 last year, now it's $450, next year the rate is up to $530-560. Used to be a really good place to live, but don't choose to live here now. There are many other options for off campus housing for the same...
Read moreCurrently a resident here at the Heights. I have renewed for the next year. All of my other roommates are moving out. I went to talk to management multiple times about transferring to room D, since I am in B. They said I needed to pay $150 to literally move up a flight of stairs. I told them that I am more than willing to take that room uncleaned, just as if I renewed in that room. I even offered to get my own carpet cleaner, but they didn't like that. Not that it even matters though because last year, when my roommate was here, she said they never even cleaned the carpets and there is paint all over our floors. And there is paint still today. I asked a month ago if the manager could call me, but obviously they do not take their tenants seriously and do not care about them because to this day, I have never received a call. This place only cares about your money and doesn't even care about the customers that hand them money. I have worms that come into my apartment that they said they "fixed". The new management here...
