The staff incredibly knowledgeable about the state’s attractions, landmarks, and events, and their enthusiasm for Pennsylvania was infectious. They went above and beyond to answer my questions, provide helpful maps and brochures, and offer personalized recommendations based on my interests.
The welcome center itself was clean, well-organized, and showcased the unique charm of Pennsylvania. The exhibits and displays provided fascinating insights into the state’s history, culture, and natural beauty.
The facilities at the welcome center were well-maintained and visitor-friendly. The restrooms were clean and well-stocked. The center’s accessibility for all visitors, including those with mobility challenges, was commendable.
The staff readily provided valuable information about nearby accommodations, dining options, and points of interest, ensuring that travelers like myself had a seamless experience exploring the state. Their dedication to exceptional customer service was evident throughout my visit.

Read moreLarge welcome facility with nice clean bathrooms. There is an outside sitting area that is spacious be and quite nice. Hugh parking lot capable of accommodating large trucks, and numerous car. There's a commuter park and ride parking lot across the street, ( much smaller than the welcome center) which fills to capacity Monday thru Friday. Whomever did the study to figure out parking needs for these locations screwed it up royally; I've NEVER seen more that 5-6 cars in that gigantic Welcome Center parking lot. Meanwhile, commuters who need parking struggle every day to find a place to park if the DWG Park and Ride is full. A word of caution...Do not attempt to park across the street at their precious "Welcome Center"...which has an enormous amount of "empty spaces"... You will be ticketed or towed. Why not allow a few spaces way in the back of this large slightly used parking lot as an overflow option? It would help commuters who are trying to earn a living, and not interfere with visitor parking to the...
Read moreThis place qualifies as a "best kept secret" IMO. I originally found it almost by accident a number of years ago and it's my favorite rest stop along the entire length of I-80 in PA. It's just minutes off the highway, usually empty, the restrooms are clean and the building is spacious and interesting and attractively designed. There are well shaded outdoor picnic areas and even a cool looking roof terrace area above the building accessed via a ramp and stairs which I've been wanting to check out, but it seems to have been closed off for years (PA officials if you're reading this please re-open it!). The only thing it's really missing is a store/snack shop or cafe. Maybe if more people start going to this really nice rest area, someone will open one. In the meantime feel free to enjoy this tranquil place for a moment of peace before heading into or coming out the frenetic 40 miles of the...
