Always a favorite of mine but for some stuffy types maybe too rural.

Good, big & small pies. Perfect for holiday desserts. Definitely not the commercial brand.

Those I had were tasty though more recently my wife thought their apple pie was not as sweet as it should be. She's a retired cake, pie & pastry critic. Still has all her teeth too.

I don't like sugar so I'd prefer smaller pies made without sugar except for the natural fruit sugar. I'm not asking for much.

Everyone who works there have been friendly, courteous & helpful. Good people.

You can watch through a big glass as they make pies & pastries. Interesting. They have a big selection of varied jams, jellies in jars. Cookies, some pastries -- but not as many as an Italian bakery.

The atmosphere here is the way bakeries were in the 40s.

Big plus is the variety. They even have under heat lamps shepards pie, chicken pot pie & instructions for cooking. Lots to see & sample.

Prices have gone up, but that's to be expected. Go before their delicious pies are $50 each.

Don't give the place too high a rating yourself or some magazine in New York City will feature it, then hundreds of people will clog the place & they'll start throwing pies.

This has to be our...

It's Sunday the weekend before Labor day Monday,we decided to stay another day in Poconos in PA,but at a different hotel.Looking for a place to get a bite, came across Apple Pie Bakery.I've been here before for pastry. This time to get grilled hamburgers and fries. For the kids chicken fingers and fries. This place is so wonderful to visit.Everthing well organized and displayed wonderfully.Outside looks simple but when you venture inside,it's a whole new look. There's alot of freshly made, jams, pies, breads, cider and a lot more.Give them a try you definitely won't be disappointed. The pictures speak for...

We have visited here for years when we would be in the area for recreation. Once we moved to Stroudsburg this past December, Apple Pie Bakery became a weekly stop. We buy a different type of loaf of bread each week and usually add in one of the mini fruit pies. All fresh baked and absolutely delicious. Store staff is wonderful, warm and friendly, and we are thrilled to highly recommend them! And now during this challenging period our country and world is in, a tremendous thank you to Apple Pie Bakery for remaining open through it all! We are happy to support a stellar...

A must visit if you have a craving for tasty pastries and pies. Service was lacking at first, we stood in front of the pastry coolers watching 4 employees in the back completely ignoring a full store of people wandering around with our mouths watering, finally an older gentleman came out and assisted us, he was very pleasant and took his time to ensure we got want we wanted. The frosted raisins apple pie is a must try, wow it’s delicious 😋. The donuts and fruit turnovers are equally delicious. We will be back again soon to try everything else.

Had to stop for the chicken pot pie and apple pie after a hike to nearby⁰ Council Rock. Glad we did! Starting with pitcher plants, venus fly traps, and pumpkins outside to a store full local food items like jams, apple cider, and homemade pastries. This place is an eyefull! We enjoyed the chicken pot pie filled w chunks of chicken, veggies, and tasty crust. The apple cider was smooth and not too sweet. Their jams are very good with clever names, like TOE jam or BEAR jam.
