Fairmount Inn & Suites - Stroudsburg — Hotel in Smithfield Township

I came here with my family we have a 6 year old. When we got there there was a man violently attacking a woman in the hallway and the 6 year old saw as it happened and was traumatized. The room had windows that did not open and the smell of cat urine and feces was putrid. The cops were NOT called and the hotel banned both the man and the woman. This place was very suspicious and allegedly had signs of trafficking occurring here. We requested a refund and they said to go through the process which took a month since we booked from a 3rd party site just for them to deny us the 300$ refund twice. They said what occurred wasn’t so bad and we were being dramatic. (the man had this woman by her hair and was punching her) I reported this place to the police we might take further legal action but hoping they see this to resolve the 300$ they don’t want to refund. This place is disgusting and dangerous never come here. Hoping this place shuts down on its own or the cops...

Went to this hotel with my service dog and said they will refund the dog fee after stay. It's been over 20 days and still no refund. I gave them a call today and they said that my dog ripped up the covers. My dog did no such things as I have pictures of the whole room and covers before checking out and everything was fine. They will take your money. They keep the indoor pool water cold so people don't use it. The rooms smell like piss. They just want your money. I stayed there with 2 kids and 1 day there's was someone drunk banging on my door and I called the front and they didn't even bother coming to check, all they did was check the cameras at the time I called and said there's nobody at your door. They did not try to follow up or try to check with their own eyes. ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS MONEY. THIS HOTEL IS TRASH DO NOT...

The room and hallway of the hotel were dirty & had a smoking smell. Our room was very dark (window facing a wall) and had a bad feet/musty smell. The beds were smaller than the platforms. The TV was broken (discolored, blurry). The window only opened a small amount, and the screen was bent so it didn't provide much protection from bugs. We almost turned right around after seeing our room, but decided to stay since we were leaving first thing in the morning. My kids enjoyed the pool briefly, but the pool room windows and door were nailed shut which made it unbearably humid and bad-smelling in the pool area.
