My son and I have been on a quest to try all the parks in our area. Our go-to is Grayson Park. Luckily Gwinnett has some of the best parks so it's been fun! I finally got to Ronald Reagan Park and loved it! I like how the playgrounds, basketball courts and skate park are right in the front as soon as you park. The playgrounds are newly renovated and kept my son entertained. There is a huge open space for kites, frisbee, etc. and the picnic areas are nice and clean. There is a trail with nice flowers, greenery and tables along the path which can be used for a romantic get together. My son absolutely loved the skate park!!! He didn't want to leave. This area is designed for older kids but everyone was respectful. Some of the older kids even played basketball with him, which was nice because he's only 4🙂 Oh, and the bathrooms are decent and don't look like a crime scene like some of the other parks we've visited. Overall, great experience and my son said it's his...
Read moreToday was my first time at the park and it might just be our new regular park. We loved it! My favorite thing is that the playground is great AND they have a great walking trail. Typically you get one or the other, not both. There are restrooms right next to the playground, the playground has shade structures and a 2-5year old section/6 and up section. The equipment seems newer and pretty well taken care of. There is also a dog park, with a separate part for small dogs/big dogs. A skate park, too! Finally, the walking trail we took (there could be more, not sure yet) was 90% shaded, which I LOVE. It is beautiful, there is a sweet little creek you can go down to and enjoy midway through. There is also an extra swingset on the walking path and plenty of shaded picnic tables. I also love that there are plenty of trash cans. This is really...
Read moreThey closed the dog park this weekend no warning No reason and they said it's closed for maintenance well there was no maintenance being done. So every time it rains they close the dog park if they move the dog park which would be a rather easy thing to do. In my opinion, they wouldn't have to close the dog park. A dog park should never be located at the bottom of a ravine literally in a bowl where all the water will run to. Nobody wants a dog that's covered in mud. If the county made a small investment and moved the dog park to one of the upper areas this park would be amazing! Additionally, they wouldn't have to have staff show up every day and lock the dog park...
