Recently my 4-year-old Pixel 3a's screen went black and became unresponsive. When I arrived at Davis Tech Repair, the proprietor performed some diagnostics, then explained what he could do to fix my phone, how long it would take, and what it would cost (which he informed me was actually more than the value of my now-outdated phone). Since my phone is fairly old, he let me know that he would have to order a part that would take a couple of days to arrive, if I chose to invest in the repair. He even offered to help me get in touch with the Google store in case they might be able to repair my phone more quickly than he could. All in all, he was very friendly, helpful and straightforward -- and he didn't even charge me for the diagnostics he performed!

I have a Lenovo laptop and a screw near the left hinge fell out (presumably after a hinge repair I had done). I needed a replacement screw and originally went to Best buy, and they did not have the screw, so I went here. I had the guy replace the screw but he said that it would fall out again because screws on the inside were broken. Apparently, my top case of my keyboard was broken and that's why the screw fell out in the first place. To fix this, it would be ~$200. I should note, this man looked at it in 5 seconds and diagnosed this issue. He would do an inspection on the inside for $40 (I opted out). I went to Asurion in Burlington because I have a service contract with them. They did not see an issue and were confused on what I was asking of them when mentioning inner screws.
