Sonoma Grove Assisted Living & Memory Care — Attraction in Sonoma

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Please don't send your loved ones here! We just had to take my dad out of this place. It's horrible. So many health and safety violations. No air conditioning in heat of summer. There are only 3 little fans for the whole place! Can 20 +seniors share that? NO. My father's health has declined since being here. No help with real bathing or toilleting. They put him in diapers instead of helping him to his commode. Very little staff. Caregivers have to also be the janitor, food service and med tech at the same time. Please don't send a loved one here! Too many legal and moral violations to list here. Also, they yelled at my father when they thought he was using the phone too much in their opinion. They restricted phone access so he couldn't always call us when he needed to. Also, today when we went to get him, it was stifling hot in his room and the entire building. And it stunk too. They had a broken thermostat that claimed it was 70 degrees inside. No way in hell it was that cool. I get cold at that temp. It felt like a sauna/steam room in there. I feel bad for the other people left there. For their health and safety, they need to try and go somewhere else. Mistreatment, verbal abuse go...

I am so grateful for the exceptional care provided by the staff at Sonoma Grove to my beloved mother. The place is warm, inviting, and the decorations created a soothing, clean and comforting environment for my mom. The communal areas are spacious with high ceilings, and large windows that overlook peaceful greenery. The front desk is welcoming and attentive.

My mother was a very tough patient but the staff had amazing level of patience and kindness for her. Also, my mom was always cleaned timely which we really appreciated.

The owners were actively involved and invested in the well-being of each resident. The owner, Julia, was always super helpful and easy to reach. Their commitment to maintaining a high standard of care was evident in every aspect, from the engaging activities like regular visits from musicians to the nutritious meals.

I am forever grateful to Julia, Alex and the entire team at Sonoma Grove for creating an environment that felt like a second home for my mom. Other facilities gave my mom half the level of care in comparison, so if you are seeking a memory care facility for your loved one, look no further than...

Sonoma Grove is attentive, thorough, professional and very caring. Our mother stayed here for a few months. She is non-ambulatory, so she needed a full service care facility. They dressed her, bathed her, hand fed her and tended to all of her needs with care and dignity. The facility grounds are beautiful as well. They have a large yard and outdoor space with chickens, a gazebo, BBQ and paths for walking or rolling a wheelchair. The neighborhood is residential, so very peaceful and quiet as well.
