Little Maya Bakery #2 — Restaurant in Sonoma

Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service! I went in on 8/19 to order a tres leches cake for the next day 8/20. The lady that was helping me literally took notes of what I wanted. I choose a cake from the book they had and I explained to her that everything that was on the model cake I wanted it blue. No other color but BLUE!! To add the initials “EZ” to the cake. She even told me that she would let the baker know to add a bear on the cake so it can go with my baby shower theme! I told her I would pick up the cake on 8/20 at noon. I get there the following day at 12:30 and I am told that their baker was sick and they send my order to their Vallejo location and the cake wouldn’t get the until about 1:30. First mistake on their part to not informed me. I told them to call me once the cake got there because my party was from 1-5. They called me at 1:48 to get the cake, my uncle goes to get the cake and of course it’s not at ALL WHAT I ORDERED!!!! The cake had the original colors from the model cake, the initials looked like a “E2” and the cake was so dryer than the Sahara desert!! Unfortunately this hasn’t been the first time that this bakery has made a mistake like this with my order. My mom called the next day and the lady was so rude and told her that if the cake wasn’t right we should of took it back and that they weren’t gonna give us our money back. How was I gonna take the cake back if I was counting on this cake?? Why didn’t I get a call that my orders was being sent to Vallejo?? Do they not read the notes on the order?? Ex ALL BLUE!!! Honestly do not order from them! Horrible...

After looking at the other reviews I was at first skeptical on whether it would be worth my time to stop in. I figured putting up with rudeness is worth it to make a birthday more special.

I walked in around the same time that a delivery was being made and I saw an older lady talking to the delivery driver in a tone that seemed as if she were letting him know who's boss. She hadn't even acknowledged me being there yet. When she was done she asked me what I needed so I asked her about the cakes in the case. They were ALL tres leches cakes. I'm not exactly sure when it happened, but she went from being business to being sweet. She reminded me of a friend's grandma when they feed you too much and wants to try everything. After buying a cake she even carried it out to the car since I was holding my baby.

The cake was amazing. It was evenly moist all the way through and was just the right amiunt of sweet. The icing to cake ratio was spot on and the icing actually tasted good (I'm not a fan of icing).

BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE HORRIBLE! I went two days before to buy bread and confirm a cake and the girl at the register and the lady who is in the back with the cakes were so mean and rude to me and my husband. Mind you it wasn’t our fault because they couldn’t find our order and kept saying there wasn’t an order placed and as soon as I showed them the receipt they were much rude and the day I picked up the lady who’s at the cakes gave me such a horrible attitude and she said the cake would be ready at 1pm and I went at 2 to pickup and still wasn’t ready!! It was in Vallejo they said like what!! Why do people have a business and treat their customers hecka rude. When you’re having a good day don’t go there because you will come out with your day ruined. I’m upset I’ve given these people money and they aren’t appreciated that we customers are the ones who keep their business going .
