Ziegler's Hardware & Supply, Inc. — Attraction in South Gate

If you need to buy from here and have a defective item to return, might want to go elsewhere to buy. Unfortunately, refund/exchange policy does not seem to be respected here as there have been more than 2 instances in which defective items were going to be returned (with a receipt), yet the "owner" rudely denies and blames customer for not testing items before leaving. On top of being denied a return/refund with receipt, the "owner" blames the customer of trying to steal from the store since they cannot prove the item was defective upon leaving their store. When the second attempt of a return/refund was made, a worker was asked if THEY could test the item before purchasing, and the worker denied and said no tests could be made. I walked out of this shop never wanting to even look back I got discriminated on with my own race. It was going good an employer helped me find some sand paper I needed and told me there prices on the paint that I asked him for. I asked him if he mind if I looked around since I'm remodeling my house and I needed other stuff that I could buy since I was there. Well this lady with short curly hair stops me about 2 min of looking around that if I ordered paint I saI'd no then she is like what are you doing what do you want that I couldn't be just walking around that they're not home depot to be just looking that they don't play those games and the whole time just looking at my pockets hands. I ALWAYS SHOPPED AT THIS LOCAL HARDAWARE STORE WHENEVER I NEEDED SOMETHING BUT I AM SO DISAPPOINTED AT THE FACT THAT THEY DIDN'T RESPECT MY HANDICAP RIGHTS OF PARKING WITHOUT TIME LIMITS AND HAVE ALL THE RIGHT TO PARK AT PRIVILIGED MERCHANT SPACES AS WELL. THE ONLY REASON I PARKED THERE WAS BECAUSE THEIR WASN'T STREET PARKING ON TWEEDY BLVD OR BY THE PUBLIC PARKING AREA BY THE ALLEY AND FOUND IT EASY TO PARK AT ONE OF THEIR MANY EMPTY SPACES FAR AWAY FROM DISTURBING THEIR BUSINESS AND THE PERSON THEIR TOLD ME THAT IF I DIDN'T BUY ANYTHING THERE AT THAT MOMENT THAT MY CAR WOULD BE TOWED AND IF I WAS MORE THAN 2 HOURS PARKED THERE AS WELL IT WILL GET TOWED AND SUPPOSEDLY TOW TRUCK RANDOMELY PASSES BY THERE AND PICKS UP CARS WITHOUT THEM CALLING THEM.
