CPR Cell Phone Repair South Orange — Attraction in South Orange

They replaced my front screen. When I got my phone back, the bottom microphone wasn’t working. I tested it, Voice Memos and calls don’t pick up my voice, but the video mic works. That means the bottom mic flex cable is disconnected or damaged. This is beyond inconvenient and unacceptable for a simple screen repair. I had to go out of my way to go back to this location for them to fix the issue. When I went back the next day, the guy at the front desk was sure they didn’t do anything because it was “just a screen repair” until I reminded him, I was talking to him on the phone the day prior because I couldn’t find the entrance to the store. He clearly saw me using the phone with no problem when I was walking in. The 1st attempt at fixing, it was going in and out. They took it back and finally fixed the issue. This took over an hour. The important part to take away…before they handed my phone back a guy came in while I was waiting and left before I did, before he left he was upset because his mic “suddenly” stopped working as well. The customer’s exact words “why can’t anyone hear me? My mic was working before I gave it to you guys. I was just talking to you on the phone earlier. Are you guys crooks?” I know...

They used my phone and left themselves a 5-star review under MY Google profile. I'm changing it to 1-star. They probably didn't count on me getting follow-up emails from Google whenever a review I make gets posted. I didn't make this review originally, but I'm definitely going to edit it now!

Who knows what else they did while it was unlocked and in their possession? I'm suspicious of why they needed my PIN to fix a cracked screen and why I was connected to their wifi even though I've never been there before and the cellular signal was strong enough. Again, this was for a cracked screen. Even if some of this is normal, the trust is gone after leaving a review for yourselves from my profile and phone.

Don't hand over your phone to them unless it's in maintenance mode! An item was even downloaded while the phone was in their possession, and I can't tell what it is when I go into the downloads folder!
