Dollar General — Attraction in South Plainfield

BUYER BEWARE!!! THEY DO NOT HONOR THEIR SIGNAGE WHEN THEY ARE WRONG!!! MANAGER AND SHIFT SUPERVISOR NEED A CLASS ON CUSTOMER SERVICE AND HOW TO POST CORRECT SIGNAGE!!!

This store is filled with the laziest people I have ever seen! The manager is nasty, always thinks she's correct, and obviously quite lazy. The sign over the seasonal items said "50% off" NOT "Christmas Items ONLY 50% off". Apparently there are these "invisible tags" that only the manager can see that indicates if the item is a seasonal item and therefore 50% off. I couldn't see the tags so they must be "invisible." I've worked many retail jobs. SIGNAGE IS EXTRMELELY IMPORTANT. It's obvious that she didn't take the time to make appropriate sale SIGNAGE, nor did she care to confuse her customers. By the way she spoke to me "ON SPEAKER PHONE," she could care less about her store and her customers. The ONLY thing she cares about is that SHE IS NOT WRONG. Apparently its my fault that Im confused. MAYBE ITS ABOUT TIME TO SPEAK TO HER MANAGER (DISTRICT / REGIONAL MANAGER) ABOUT HER MANNERS...

I love going to dollar places and here is why they don't sell stuff in bulk because if they did they would need more space for the products! But this is definitely useful for people that don't really have a big family! Their prices aren't way too far off from Walmarts! Think about it would you rather drive all the way to Walmart(wasting gas unless you are very close to Walmart than in that case that is a different story 😅) or go to your local Dollar General?!? (Saving gas by the way and if you compare the price isn't too far! *they have everything minus furniture 😅 *etc(not sure what else to say here but you get my point ☺ Whoever is reading this I hope you have many blessings not only today...

Immediately felt uneasy walking into the store. The store smelled musky, I felt like I was inhaling dust with every breath, the entire place was cluttered with boxes, it was overall very unorganized and dirty, the worker wasn’t welcoming, and it was so dimly lit that in some areas of the store it was tough to see. I’m giving it 2 stars because it’s not exactly supposed to be a fancy establishment, it is a dollar store after all, but this was just appalling. I walked out of there not even 2 mins...
